I really want to think you're wrong because it's actually a bad thing to have 1 socket on a chest. I'm expecting it to be 3 unless it can roll 4. Even still, it's a bad affix to just have 1 over anything else.
So here's to hoping that is suppose to be 3 sockets instead of 1 on chests. Since otherwise it goes against what they said about rolling = to their ilvl.
what chest are you talking about? They can get three sockets via the random prop, none of them have it by default.
Every new class set chest piece, even blackthorns says Sockets (1) while Inna's Legs say Sockets(2).

but I just re-looked, nothing seems off on sockets (but datamining is datamining, keep that in mind!)

okay maybe I shouldn't have made the statement like it was a fact but im 90% sure. I can't recall where I've seen socket displayed in same way and turning out to be a guaranteed triple, but for example Natalya's Shadow currently live has 100% chance to have 3 sockets = and probably somewhere it just says Socket (1), I think 1 stands for something other than number of sockets.
Also http://us.battle.net...natalyas-shadow - Only 1 socket is displayed, because probably thats how it is set up for them to read the affix, but it reads it wrong, since it should be 3 sockets.
Personally, the trend that I'm seeing is that legendaries with guaranteed socket have a maximum amount of sockets.
The only thing I could think then, would be the 1 means 1 affix of it (but that is not right, as some show 2)
String/Data wise "1" is the correct value to show. what that means ingame I guess can be a differnt story =P But until then, its what's in the client
the dev that is working on items had wife agro last night, and then today work computers internet went down, so he can't remote to them. 100% by tomorrow. but they should be correct (minus +dmgs (this includes elemental +dmg)) now. (tho some items are missing chance to fear on hit or something like that)

I really hope they just haven't been updated, because 150k gold cost, 100 essences, 30 tears, and a brimstone for Robes of Rydraelm (15% mf, 4% melee reduction, 4% ranged reduction, 3 stats) which arguably aren't as good as an average ilvl 61 random chest would just be ... well, not very legendary, and not very often crated. Likewise, Ruinstoke at 260k, 3 brimstones, and an absolute ton of other crafting materials for... life on kill, a little extra damage against elites, and not much else? That'd be pretty bad. Considering how good many of the new legendaries are, I expect brimstones will become more rare and expensive, which would really make legendary crafting a nonentity in a game that desperately needs the gold sink.

if you check out the hallowed shit and the venomhusk, you'll see that legendary weapons from crafting (atleast a few of them) have recieved a serious buff. No doubt the other items will just need to be updated.
I think I calculated venomhusk to do a max of aprox 1350 dps with perf rolls (thats without an ias roll, which is possible ofc)
Also the hallowed armament weapons are kinda sick. They all do arround 500-920 dps with their current stats - this is counting without the 10-50% extra damage affix that can roll on lvl 61-63 in the next patch, and without counting an ias roll. Since they have 5 random props, theres a good chance on some nice hallowed gear. I reckon if a hallowed would roll with perfect stats (impossibly lucky, but humor me) you could reach up to 1400-1500 dps with 50% extra dmg and 10-11% ias rolls.. I'm not gonna check out the other legendarys just yet they will probably be allot sicker with crazy rolls xD. But these are legendary craftables I'm willing to gamble on!

I'm still thinking they can't shaft a griswolds and earthshaker, and make a venomhusk and entire set of weapons entirely awesome. Nobody will craft griswolds or earthshaker, instead invest into the worthwhile legendarys.. I don't really care tbh I bought all legendary weapon plans when they where still cheap as piss. Scored a hallowed armaments set for 1mil :P. So we'll see.
Any chance they is going to be extra data to datamine molster? or is this really it. Would be a weird choice from blizz if it is.

As it stands, you would be better off crafting an ilvl 62 6 prop weapon than you would be crafting Griswolds Masterpiece or a Blood-Magic Blade for example. However, the cost of crafting an ilvl 62 vs. a legendary right now is ridiculous. Just doesnt make sense for them to buff nearly every other useless legendary...but then leave some of these crafted ones on the side and still useless.
The only explanation I can think of is that they decided that with the dps boost the ilvl 61's and 62's were already getting that these weapons would already be powerful....??
But even still it doesnt make sense for them to leave Griswolds Masterpiece; the ilvl 61 legendary sword.. weaker than the Skycutter which is the ilvl60 legendary sword.
My only thought is that they're intentionally making crafted legendaries bad because they know there are a lot of stockpiled brimstones and they don't want to make good new crafted legendaries that people could pop 100 of on the first day. However, that doesnt really hold water if some of them have gotten buffed and others, like Griswold's or Ruinstoke or the Robes, remain terrible. Well thats exactly it.. Venomhusk for example (the ilvl 61 legendary bow) got a nice buff. But some of the other ilvl 61 craftable legendary weapons arent really showing anything.
Can someone clarify this? I see sages wisdom set as well as a new sages plight set. I own the crafting book for saves wisdom so I can makes sages wisdom set. Post 1.0.4 does this become sages plight so all new items crafted will be sages plight? Or is sages plight a completely seep rate set?
