DONT U WANT THESE BATTLES TO BE EPIC? imo, the battles get very repetitive. so to that point of if everything is epic, nothing is epic (which i totally get and support) almost nothing is epic. d3 is going to pump the epic bar up. for d2, it was diablo looking sick or something, d3 will be something else.
so the point! ISNT THE UBER ANIMATION DEATH COMBO ONLY FOR BOSSES? not like champion zelot crap, but like siege breaker, diablo n stuff... so it wont be like a fallen doin a 10 hit combo on ur ass, breathing fire balls down ur throught and a caterpiller raping u in the ass. if they kill you, u die. if diablo kills u, ur monitor blows up and he kills u in person.
another thing to take note of is that d3 is more multiplayer oriented than the previous. ya soloing the game it wouldnt be that great to see diablo dance on ur face, but when ur fighting diablo and u see a party member get knocked the fuck up, it will be sick.

Yes is very fair and remove frustrate situations... But it's bring nothing more to the gameplay. Only a spectacular animation, great but it miss something...
It doesn't add to gameplay, it adds to the "graphics" of the game. If you are going to die then you are going to die. Why not go down in flames or spikes or acid or lightening that completely destroy your body.
Also, are you saying that these moves will be 1 hit kills? If so hardcore players are going to have tough time with bosses.
Plus, I wonder if you can "pop out" of the death animation. Specifically for SP. Yes the death animations could get old, and take away precious seconds of gameplay. Maybe as soon as it triggers, you know your dead. You get the message to hit escape to go to last checkpoint.

Yes, but I never said the "kill move" will be hard to avoid. And hardcore will be tough, I think it's the normal behavior for "hardcore". You have to know the bosses behavior.

I'm not disagree with that but I think we'll rarely see the amazing animations. And, how do you want anticipate that you'll going to die ? The game are fast pace and maybe some skills can heal !! so I think this feature cannot be implemented. Plus, it's will be boring, I'll leave my finger on my mouse and waiting.... Nahhh Blizzard won't that !! It's why I think "kill move" will be a boss behavior, you will always be able to originally avoid the move and you will always be noticed that the boss going to do the move. Noticed by a sign like roar, casting...etc(every special behavior that you can imagine)

As soon as the sign is triggered you have to avoid it, but as soon as the "move" is triggered you're dead (only if you miss the sign or if you doesn't do the right dodge or if you don't dodge in time)

hly freaking cow, if u die u die! jeesus! lol. if a death animation strikes, UR DEAD! no escaping, no avioiding, just death. Do you get a 2nd chance to aviod bails last hit? no u die. So, shoiuld u be able to miss a d3 last hit? no!
The death animations arnt random, they only take the place of the normal attack that would kill u anyways. So, in hard core, itwont be like "o i feel like 1 hitting you", it is, "your gonna die from this his anyways so imma make it look epic".
Press A as much as you can to escape! Then proceed to press the B button while swinging your Wii-mote to counterattack!

What I'm trying to say, escaping a boss when doing a kill animation would be as silly as the above.
Why ??? not silly it's a twist of gameplay ! something to do ! I don't want play passively I want play actively. And you will escape BEFORE the kill animation, not during.

What the boss will have more than monsters ? The amount of stats.... lol no... The gamplay. How to handle it. It seem pretty much better than a boss who does nothing special.

dude! thank you haha.Ivaron you rock i knew i read this somewhere or heard it. I find the debate over the "is it random or the flashy ko shot?" debates dumb. its been answered and old news imo. the fun debates are if it SHOULD be used cuz some people might not like it (like we had going).
imo, if u get a kill animation on u, ur dead. there is no getting or dodging. U could essentialy fight diablo with 1 life and still live... Bliz will give us a good game. they have the time. For every second we sit here arguing over w/e, they are working at giving us a great, playable, and fun game that works. Id wouldnt even be surprised to see a box for killanimations due to the amount of resistance it has had. Since there is no change in game play and only eye candy, it should be "checkable" in the options
