I just did not want to say everything, because you now more about it than me. I know what you said, but I just did not want to write a huge big statement.:D

whats working? what are we doing thats working in iraq?
The troop surge? Not just that, the overall war effort. And don't be sarcastic or slanderous. You have done enough to join Equinox in making less what these people are, and what they do.
You are being sarcastic, because I clearly stated exactly what was working.
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of
speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the
freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."
all right well all of those slogans are fine. I have nothing against soldiers. I just have a problem with the iraq war. And since you said that the iraq war is now working. I would like to know what it is working towards because I dont know, and you're saying you do. I dont know how thats being sarcastic.

Ok well I dont see how the overall war effort is working
Of course you don't, because you don't like looking at the bright side of things. How do I know? It says so in your signature. The American dream has been proven time, and time, and time again, yet you call it a false hope. Ignorance.
well since you dont give me any information on why the war is working how will you ever change my mind.
I don't plan to. Even if I give you all the proof in the world, you will remain fixed on your views. I'm sick of all this senseless arguing, people come here and trash the troops, or the war, and it drives me nuts. You don't even have the reason to back it up, especially when it comes to pulling out of Iraq. Obama is a smooth talker, but he's an idiot if he thinks he can pull out immediately and Iraq won't cave in. He will be repeating Vietnam. Following the last american plane leaving Iraq, terrorists and now possibly Iran will swarm in and take the country for theirs. And at that point, we'll be in a mess 10 times bigger than it already is.
I'm done talking about this, and I would like a mod to close this thread. I had started it to honor the troops, as I've done many times before, and every single goddamn time it turns into a debate of some sort. The other times it turns into blatant flame of them, or of me for being patriotic and honoring them so much.
Vietnam was a mistake. Iraq was a mistake. I dont know why you are getting all hostile carloseous, maybe a little too much anime. But as far as im concerned, the religious tensions in Iraq should not be a priority for America. We shouldnt of spent over 500 billion dollars in Iraq. We could of used that money here in America, instead we are on a brink of a recession. We killed about 85,000 iraq civilians. We have also distracted ourselves from the real terrorists which are still located in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The taliban are reclaiming Afghanistan as we speak.
And to quote the great Eagles running back Ricky Walters, "for you, for what?"
Like I said so many times in this thread I have no problem with supporting our troops. And I am supporting them by opposing the war in Iraq. I would have no problem if the troops were in Afghanistan becuase that is where the threat to AMERICA is, not in iraq. I have the highest respect to soldiers who fight for a worthy cause, and to better America. The war in Iraq is not a worthy cause because it does nothing to benefit America.
