I wanted to start simple so I chose armor types to post. I read the rules on bumping but didn't see many other rules, so hopefully this is okay. Message me or post to bid on these items. Don't be scared to tell me that an item I post is worthless - I actually encourage it, so I can vendor it and get it out of my stash.
I'll keep these up for 72 hours and update the current bid every night. Sorry if I don't know what's going on during the in-game trade since I'm still new to this.
Those 3 blue items you can definitely vendor. I don't think anyone would pay anything for those (with much better stuff available on the AH).
Those gloves are also not so good, people usually look for Main Stat/Vit/All res as primary stats on gloves, and usually other affixes that can spawn on them (crit chance, crit dmg, attackspeed). If you have those together, the gloves are good, if you're missing 2 of the core stats (or the main is too low), it's kinda hard to sell.
You can sell gloves with high rolls (70% of their maximum roll) if they have at least 3 good stats (Main/ResAll/Attackspeed for instance, or Vit/CritChance/CritDmg), but anything with less than that is hard to sell.
On your boots, the first one (Nomad Dispute) is kinda good. It has low stat rolls and no movespeed (which a lot of people want), but it has decent armor, poison resist (for a poison Monk), and extra gold/mf (this last one low), which could be interesting to some. The third one is kinda good as well (Imbued Kicks) for a Barb gearing for Act 2.
Thanks, that was awesome. That's exactly the help I need. Is there a place I can go to learn about this stuff, or is it just something that will come to me over time? Anyway, I will regroup with the information you gave me.
And it should come to you over time (edit: and you can always post here and have someone "price check" it for you, if anything just PM me and I'll quickly take a look if I'm available). Some stats just work a lot better than others, and the more gear you have with 2-3 desireable stats, the more manageable Inferno becomes.
If you have 10 gear pieces with high MainStat rolls (180+ on gloves, 90+ on Bracers), high Vit rolls (150+ on Chests), and high ResAll rolls (65-70+), you're definitely on your way to owning Inferno, because they all add up. So that's why people usually search for those stats when first sorting items.
Sometimes they're willing to let go of one of those, like swapping out 80 Vit on a pair of Gloves for 6% crit chance, or maybe they have enought crit chance on other gear, so they're willing to swap Vit for some crit dmg (30-40%+).
It also depends on the build and the class. Crit chance and dmg is very popular for everyone, as it's the best way to itemize for dps, plus it allows some builds to actually work (WW Barb, Critical Mass Wiz, Throw Barb, Cyclone Monk), plus most DHs get it as well. Attackspeed is usually sought after by Monks or Tanky Barbs, who rely on high LoH paired with high attackspeed to sustain themselves.
http://www.d3inferno...temAffixes.html is a great place to learn the maximum rolls for each piece of gear. For instance, attackspeed can't roll on Belts, but it can on Rings (and it rolls as high as other pieces of gear), so usually Rings with attackspeed and 2-3 other useful stats will be very valuable.

The others are not so useful. Sorry
Sorry to the 20 pageviews for wasting your time!
