I've got a paper to write (do I do anything but write papers?) in which I'm supposed to discuss the differences between Achilles in the movie Troy and the book Iliad. Any suggestions at all would be awesome!
you should say something of how the achillies could only be killed in the heel because he was bathed in some holy water and was held by his feet and then was dipped into the water but his heels didn't touch the water so that where he could be killed from and later he dies from that.

he was dipped in the river styx or something...thats in both the iliad and the movie though, but i think the way paris killed him was different.

Good thoughts, in the movie Achilles basically dies on the spot from the arrow, and if I remember correctly in the book the wound never heals properly and he later dies from sickness.
Read the Illiad, you'll find all those answers in there. I didn't read the Illiad so I have no fucking clue.
If you're too lazy/busy, sparknote it.
I mean, what, nobody ever asked you to write a paper before?
Is this some sort of Greek film study class?
I just thought someone out there might have had a particular interest in the Trojan war. There are an awful lot of Greek history buffs out there in nerd-land!
You'd think it was a Greek film class, but it is actually an Ethics class. My professor just happens to be overly enthusiastic about movies
Anyways, the paper has been written, thanks for all the help everyone! Feel free to discuss this topic further oh ye Greek nerds!
bump then lurk as soon as possible Let us take a moment of the time just to pay tribute and show appreciation to the person called mom though some may not say it openly to their mother. There's no substitute for her. Cherish every single moment. Though at times she may not be the best of friends, may not agree to our thoughts, she is still your mother!!! She will be there for you...to listen to your woes, your braggings, your frustrations, etc. Ask yourself...have you put aside enough time for her, to listen to her “blues” of working in the kitchen, her tiredness? Be tactful, loving and still show her due respect though you may have a different view from hers. Once gone, only fond memories of the past and also regrets will be left. Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart. Love her more than you love yourself. Life is meaningless without her ...Thsale is a professional, loyal and reliable wow gold supplier online, we pioneered selling cheap wow gold.
