I could easily see myself playing this game even after d3 is released. This retard can troll all he wants but Skyrim is a blessing for Diablofans, because now we get the bewst RPG of all time, and next year we get the best ARPG of all time.
So could I, if it were less buggy. Right now this piece of shit crashes after an hour. Since I got it, it's crashed about 20 times in total. Talk about a game breaking bug.
Are your video card drivers updated? You can't call it a game breaking bug when it appears only you or a select few are experiencing this. I would make sure your system can handle it / it is up to date.
I'm a level 23 Khajiit, Illusionist/assassin/archer. I'm loving the game so far. The 15x damage on sneak attack dagger is sick =D. I've dropped bosses in 3-4 sneak attacks before they could even turn around. Think my next character will be a conjure/restoration.
I've only had about 3-4 crashes the entire time. Luckily I save like crazy anyway because the game can be challenging even on adept difficulty (maybe because I use arch-mage robes for the mana regen lol). Just started on the whole thief guild thing and am looking forward to joining the dark brotherhood asap.
Well ive done 17 hours so far, not 1 crash, not a bug. Yes there are minor glitches, but these exist in most games, and considering the scale of this game it has very good overall polish.
Also just learnt that you can attack with shield whilst blocking
Playing on expert btw. Anyone playing on lower difficulties can tell me how much gold/magic items you find in chests/on enemies? I usually have 5-15g on corpses/small pots and 30-50g in chests. Finding a magic item is very very rare from non scripted places for me.
I've encountered a pretty wide array of bugs, ranging from severe texture problems such as everything turning pink, or the game crashing straight to desktop totally without any error messages. The game basically just shuts down instantly, lost me a lot of progress. Also seen fairly severe pathing problems on NPCs during escort quests and such. All of the bugs happen at least twice a day, usually 4-5 meaning i have to restart the game most of the time. This is on PC for those wondering. The game does have game-breaking bugs, and it's quite a shame, but that was to be expected with Bethesda.
Yep I get those crashed too. The game just shuts down and you look at your Desktop/Steam. Happens maybe 5 times a day... Also sometimes the Textures dont load right... I had an area where the whole ground was one big texture (that was ugly like hell... but reloading resolved that problem). Oh and pink trees^^
On the progres... my Ork DW Warrior is lvl35? now... the start was pretty hard (I play on Expert) but now I just steamroll the most mobs... only problem are mages (especially frost mages <_< friggin="" slow)="" but="" i="" can="" handle="" most="" of="" them="" (enchanting="" your="" armor="" with="" magicresist="" really="" helps="" :d).="">
On a side note... Deadric Armor is better than Dragon Armor ... thats what I call fail design <_< (not by much but still...). but the dragon armor looks better... i never liked the deadric design (not="" by="" much="" but="" still...).="" but="" the="" dragon="" armor="" looks="" better...="" i="" never="" liked="" the="" deadric=""> (not by much but still...). but the dragon armor looks better... i never liked the deadric design>
I was one of the skeptics and never played elder scrolls before. So when I load the game my expectations were low and just wanted to play a game while waiting on other games to come out.
I read comments in game sites, forums etc. that the graphics are dated and ugly. I booted the game and expected the scenes since I seen it when I watched a "lets play" video. Did the escape mission and when finally outside man I was blown by the graphics. The people who said the graphics are dated or ugly must be playing console version or playing on PC on lowest setting or their PC just suck cause this game is gorgeous. There were bad texture when you look closely but who the hell has time to do that anyway? Never encounter the pink texture, too like some are saying.
The major bug that I encountered so far is the one that out of no where the game just crashes w/o reason (28 hours in the game according to steam so far and only happened 2x). I played fallout before so I press F5 (quick save) a lot so even if my game crashes, no problem. I did get stuck on a terrain while being chased by a "giant" (yeah the one that one shots you if you're not careful) , I was freaking out but after a few jumps I manage to get out and killed him.
So after almost 30 hours of game play I am impressed with the game and am now glad that I made the purchase. To me the bugs are just minor versus on what the game offers. I feel sorry to the players that's experiencing a lot of bugs. Hope patch comes out so you can experience what I'm experiencing so far, an epic game.
Well back to the game almost level 16 now.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
I think the game just isn't optimized for the full array of PC configurations out there, since it's a console port and they most probably rushed the PC version. I personally haven't encountered one bug yet, except for the game crashing thing, but that happens only when i alt tab like 15+ times (i skype with a friend that is also playing it ) Fortunately i F5 like every 15 seconds so it's cool. Level 26 High Elf Mage atm and i've barely discovered 1/3 of the world and haven't even been to all the places i've marked on the map. So many quests, so many things to do... This game can keep you busy for months if you decide to play through the 3 major types. Finally something to keep me busy till D3 comes wohooo...
Thats what I played for first 7 hours! Then I've made a warrior. Beeing a mage was easier, flames spell is very strong vs anything, infact ive used it with my warrior in few situations
I've played without touching the mage stone, and in 7 hours got to lvl 6. Warrior I touched the stone and I was lvl 6 in about 3 hours
Some more impressions. Have now played this game an unhealthy amount over the weekend and have roughly 35 hours played. As mentioned in my earlier post I started as a Sword and Board Nord. Decided at level 18 to roll a mage instead and will stay with the mage.
I have played alot of games and this is the first game in years that really has gotten me. The quests are just made right - good stories, very few meaningless tasks et cetera. The environments...what should I say...there are places in the world - and I have seen just a small amount of it - that simply makes me stand still and watch in awe. And different places have very different souls. With my mage I decided to walk north very early in the game (rough journey...) and when the night came on the glaciers with howling winds and snow around me I just came to the conclusion that I have not played a game with better environments than this. Never.
If you like fantasy computer games. You should buy this. And hang in there and explore the world. Allow yourself to be free. Play your avatar. Do not let the game play it for you.
lvl 20 now, and game progresses so much, yet it feels very natural. Keep coming across new items, monsters, enviroments, spells and abilities. Finding it hard to find ore though, veins are so rare.. except iron ofc
