Okay, this is tactless I know, but just annoyed that the scammer got away and Blizzard is assisting to sweep everything under the rug for him.
The post had 30 replies (in less than 12 hours mind you) that I know of before being deleted without any notifications. Here's what I learnt, via this rule belowI would assume - kinda like the internal security act lulz:
Naming and shaming constitutes harassment
Accusing named or otherwise identified individuals, clans, etc. of dishonourable behaviour, such as cheating will lead to post/thread deletion and a suspension. While such warnings may sometimes be warranted, allowing targeting of others in such a fashion is open to abuse and thus not allowed. You may present your point of view while preserving the anonymity of those involved, and let the reader decide whether to contact you for details.
My situation has been being ignored and silenced. I cbf for the item scammed itself now, more the fact how this was handled really irks me. Should we all start scamming one another since there's norepercussion, AND having the blues/community admins/lord-and-mighty-my-word-says-all helping to silence any protest that might occur?
Last but not least, here's the original post. God bless caches:
I (numb3r#6269) got scammed by an online friend, doesn't seem that Blizzard liked to police this at all.. seeing that's no option to report them.
I have gotten a Natalya Slayer approximately 9:30pm 8, June, 2014 in a Rift with player ......... and ..........
........ had asked for transmog later which I readily agreed as Diablo community are based on teamwork at the end of the day (damn us elitist mentality)
However, once he had taken the item at the end of the Rift, he logged out. Removed me and Cuddlefist as friends while on offline mode.
Came online half an hour later, no reply to my please.
Would appreciate if any blue would help with this issue.
I'm sorry, but naming and shaming isn't allowed here either. Every experience is an opportunity to learn, though, and I'm sure you've learned something out of this - even if something as simple as "people can be assholes".
I understand your frustration, but really there's not much a point to this. Since the thread will hardly turn into a "productive discussion", I'll close the thread. Thanks for your understanding
