So, here you are, out to kill the Prime Evils. You've got a tag-along Follower, and maybe a friend or two to help. All along the game there are comments about how wonderful and brave you are, the fearless hero here to save the day.
You find yourself in the heat of battle. Your Follower has 3 skeletons attacking them, you have just killed two, and 4 more are rapidly approaching, when one of the recent dead (well, dead again) drops a blue item. Or a shiny jewel. Or a Page of Blacksmithing.
And you go... 'oooooo! Treasure!'
You forget your Follower, or the best tactic to use a that precise moment, and quickly pick up the treasure before releasing another volley and freezing the skeletons.
It's at that moment I sometimes wonder about my true 'in-game morals'. Am I really the hero here to save the day? Or am I just after all the treasure and gold I can get my hands on?
