I've just heard that Diablo III will NOT be LAN capable. Can anyone confirm or deny?
If that's the case I won't be buying, so Blizzard will lose three certain sales. Online play doesn't work for us here (outback Aussie) - and I'd rather play with friends and family than with people I don't know.
Be interested to know what the community thinks.....
I can always switch to Sacred II I suppose - which definitely IS LAN capable!

Pretty sure this is confirmed that there is NO LAN....:(.....While I will probably only be playing on bnet....and maybe single player......I really dont like the idea of losing LAN its old and wont get much use but some people love it. Hell I was playing d2 for fun with 4 friends over a LAN this summer and loved it it was a good change of pace compared to bnet lol....
I'm extremely disappointed by this. The main reason I still play Diablo 2 is because (with ATMA) I can have an infinite stash and work on getting every single item in the game. Also, I can play with others who do this as well. There are many more reasons but still .. I am very disappointed by this ...
But, regardless of what Blizzard does, something similiar to LAN WILL be implemented by the community.
Get ready to get slammed with about 50 posts. All of them will say the same thing:
Blizzard is the best. Anyone who wants to play LAN is a pirate first, fan second. That's right--I'm so enamored with Blizzard that I make up reasons to support them on every move they make, regardless of its legitimacy.
