I run a build similar T5 & T6. Basically stack holy damage items, and area damage when possible. It is a very highly geared build. I am usually only out of wrath about 10% or the time, bit then i just utilize bracers. I remember I was just fooling around with Heavens fury without the weapon for a bit and just watching the damage. Currently I hit for 20m lowest up to 45m with akarats. It literally slaughters large groups with the area damage. I can join a group having trouble with too many elites and just walk in pop some skills and they will be gone in a few hits. And I would say I'm still somewhat under geared compared to some people. Very fun build.
Hi, I have a similar build but instead of Fires of heaven I'm using Heavens Fury/Ascendency and and focusing on a more defensive playstyle as I'm playing HC, therefore Punish/Retaliate and Shield Bash/Shatterd Shield is my choice.
I'm currently doing T4 with this solo and it's very effective. In full party I do take some dmg while not in Akarats, but with 6th set bonus + 30% CDR I use a rotation with Law of Justice/Immovable Object + Bottomless Potion/Armor Increase 15% - So I'm rarely in trouble.
I must say I prefer Ascendency Rune before Fires Of Heave cause its high dmg over time + Ebril Shield I almost instantantly have it ready to fire when first one expires. I did also use Provoke/Hit Me Up for extra wrath reg but noticed I'm not lacking wrath atm so I figuerd Condemmed/Vacuume would be a nice Holy DPS complement, what do you think?
I first heard about this build only a week ago when I witnessed some other player basically soloing T6 elites in seconds.
Of course now I want to build a holy shotgun crusader, too!
My gear is pretty crappy at the moment, but my plan so far: 5pc Akkhan, 2pc Aughild, RoRG, SOJ, Fate of the Fell (will I EVER find one?). Don't know about good Shields, but I crafted Hallowed because it has up to 20% Holy Damage on it.
I tried Reaper's Wraps but didn't like them. The time where resource matters most, is when fighting elite. And they hardly ever drop globes during the fight. So I use that slot for the second Aughild piece and go for the +15% elite damage bonus (if I find a RoRG)
But my actual question:
Which stats are the most important to have when it comes to damage?
I already saw you mentioning to get as much cooldown reduction as possible, so what should I enchant for damage and in what order?
Hi, ive been using this build for a while recently and im still not able to do torment 6. I can do torment 5, but it is still very difficult. i suffer a lot of deaths, and it is much slower than doing torment 4. I was wondering what else is it that i need in order to do t6? Do i just need way more paragon? Ive noticed that most people doing t6 are significantly higher leveled than i am. I also know that getting CDR on fate of the fell would help a lot, so im eagerly waiting for another one to drop.
heres a link to my profile, any kind of direction would be nice as i am really trying to get to t6.If i have pieces of gear that could be much better rolls, let me know so i can start gambling my shards on them
Change Wrathful to Indestructible (you have health globe bonus only on boots so there's no point in it, get 75-100k bonus before using Wrathful), try to change your neck asap (i know, i know, easy to say, hard to do...). And if you have any str/cc/chd/something neck on your place i will be using it in place of your current one (or just try to reroll holy dmg to chd on current one). Missing chd roll on neck is huge, its only place when it can roll up to 100% . Its same like using weapon without socket. Also try using Unstoppable Force rune for Laws of Valor in place of Critical. It helps a lot.
About blood shards - gamble for neck, or use them for another character, there's not much more you can easily replace with that bitch... I mean Kadala...
And actually just stick to t5 before you change your gear and get more paragons. there're playing huge role in t6 build, actually i dont think that many builds will be actually viable without paragons (if any...).
thanks, that does help a lot. i didnt realize how low my critical hit damage was compared to my CC. I wish i could have all 4, but i havent had a good neck drop in forever.
as for the rest, i changed the wrathful to indestructible and ill see if that helps with my survivability
You should use Long Arm of the Law instead of Indestructible. Rolling the CD on your SoJ into CDR will help too. If you can hit the 51-53% mark on CDR you'll have little to no Akarat's down-time and that makes a a huge difference too. If you're still struggling after that, you can change Condemn: Vacuum to Provoke: Too Scared to Run. The snare is great for survivability. I definitely agree with blgns on the paragon though, you could definitely use a little more, and T5 will probably be more comfortable than T6 for grinding those levels.
im not completely convinced that 100% up time on akarats champ is really necessary. im sitting right at 50% CDR and i only have about a split second of downtime. Is it really worth losing other damage or toughness stats just for that 1 second?
I mean, hopefully i can get a fate of the fell to drop that i can roll CDR on and thatll put me up there, but my crit damage is kinda low as it is

1) Holy Damage ?
2) Critical Hit Damage ?
4) Critical Hit Chance ?
5 Attack Speed ?

i still dont have full gear so it will become even stronger. At T2 i can stand in 3 pack of elites without risk of dying and melt them really fast
