Welcome back Yall, for anyone who doesn't know me I'm Kaylaj ( AKA Col1Kill ) a minor youtube personality and major Diablo fan. Today I am bringing you a new take on spin to win for the sword and board or DW/2H barb wanting to be the steel-wall for their group while still being able to enjoy spin to win.
Lets start with stat priority for this build, Life on hit = Life per second > Resist(all) > Strength >armor=Vitality > Other Lets Discuss the priority, LoH/LPS - HEALING!! enough said, but in detail the more healing you have the longer you can endure anassault, healing is a universally helpful stat that synergies well with armor and resist.
resist(all) - resist is the primary way to reduce the damage taken from non-physical types of damage as such its the second highest priority for this build cause we don't want champs and bosses smashing our face.
Strength - this is our primary stat and this is good for us cause it grants us 2 bonuses, (( X = Strength value ) first being X% bonus damage; However, it also grants us X armor value, due to this duel synergy it take's an easy 3rd on the list, had this been a DPS build it would be first.
Armor and Vitality - I rate these equally; however, to be clear vitality does have a slightly higher weight value. here is the rule NEVER trade vitality for armor, but its OK to lose a little vitality for a decent armor bonus. use your discretion on what you think is a good trade.
Other - as stated any other stats or effects you get or want are lowest on the totem poll.
SPELLS
Cleave: Reaping swing - this is a good primary for generating fury on packs; however if you don't like it that's fine use the primary you like, all the primary spells are good so have fun.
Whirlwind: Wind Shear - This will be our primary attack ((and fury generator when attacking packs of 4 or more enemies.)), it has good damage and this spell has the added effect that when you are channeling you can pass through enemies unhindered.
Wrath of the Berserker: Thrive on Chaos - this spell grants us a set of buffs plus heals cause we are using the thrive on chaos rune, Crit hit +10%, Attack speed +25%, Dodge chance +20% Movement speed +20% and 4K Life per fury spent. now even tho our WW is generating fury it is still spending it to stay channeled so the rune is great for this build
Rend: Blood Lust - this Spell allows us to place a 1000%/5 sec bleed on targets and with the rune also heals us for 0.5% ( HP * 0.005 ) of our health PER target effected by our rend. the use of this is in packs is just too strong to pass up.
Avalanche: Glacier - is a free spell that does 1600% damage + freezes targets every 30 sec, we use this for a little more damage and a type of control.
........(((NOTE: Avalanche can be traded for Threatening Shout: Demoralize if you would rather have a taunt then a damage and control spell ))) Warcry: Impunity - this is a core part of our.defense in this build with it and the Impunity rune, us and our allies gain 20% armor and resist all. This does stack with other resist bonuses ( ex. Monk mantra ).
PASSIVES
Unforgiving ( Optional ) - I like this one cause it means I don't need to build up to start pounding away; however, if you don't like it feel free to change it.( Note this is the last optional spell in this build )
Nerves of Steel - grants us armor = to 50% of out vitality value. very very powerful as armor reduces physical damage taken.
Superstition - Reduced all non-physical damage by 20% and grants a chance to generate 2 fury when taking a ranged or elemental attack. agian less damage we take the longer we can keep our party alive.
Tough as Nails - armor +25% and thorns damage +50%. the main reason we take this is for the +25% armor; however the +50% thorns is a very nice plus.
I hope all you barb tanks out there like my build, it may not do the most damage, but when your parties butt is on the line they will be glad you were built to take a beating and spin with style while doing it.
If you don't like the spec or kind-of like it that's Fine but please leave a logical explanation as to why. this thread is open to discussion so long as everyone stays civil and makes intelligent post explaining their view point.
NOTE: I also went through the post and cleaned up the typos a bit although I had to get creative with the our defense part cause it refuses to stay spaced sorry about that.

Quote fromPhilippos» 0.5% of hp per mob is an absolute drop in the bucket especially considering it doesn't tick like it used to and has been reduced to about 10% effectiveness, but yeah. They REALLY don't want people Bloodlust runing anymore, things like lacerate and range are so much more worthy
It is true that It's healing is reduced; However, where this where this shines is that its stacks per target effected by rend. I must note the reason we use rend in this build is that it is a strong bleed AND a heal, but back to the heal, on large packs the healing gets nuts on 20+ targets effected it is equal to 10% of your life per second so for trash the HP gain from this scales very very well with pack size, on that note, if you try rend and just can't stand it then that's fine feel free to take my build and customize it. I would love to see what you come up with, and hey maybe your build will get a spot light on the news feed.
** Quote fromeafawf» Battle rage > WOTB imo, I also think passives should be a lot different if you play multi player. **
WOTB is used for its strong mix of offense and defense as well as the healing and immunity to controlling effects like freeze or jail, as for the passives they are what make you indestructible which is the main point of this build, if threat is a issue threatening shout with taunt is a good replacement for Ava: glacier. on that note I would like to see you'r take on the build

I use a very similar build but I tune less for healing and more for damage. I do find it can get hairy with a lot of incoming burst but generally it's been pretty solid. I don't use a primary rage generator at all, instead I rely on passive rage gen to leave me enough to WW. I use ground stomp instead so grab mobs, ground stomp, avalanche, WW until you have a decent rage bar then rend rend rend. I also use battle rage:into the fray instead of war shout.

a very interesting DPS based build. I would like to see a video of this build in action.
Using this build to lvl from 60 to 70 in Expert (? third fromleft difficulty) and it's great for survivability and does okay damage I guess. Of course the Avalance rune is still progressing up to the one listed as I lvl and I don't have the 4th passive yet (so no Unforgiving). And yet I still progress. I think I've used two health potions and no deaths, at lvl 66 so far.
My gear is gradually improving, hardest thing seems to be weapons, oh, and using Frenzy instead of Cleave. But I like it so far!
Just wanted to say i'm having a BLAST with this build. Can't wait to see what it's like when I get some actual endgame gear and go beyond t2. As of last night I was able to pull 1/2 a graveyard and just whirl and rend and shout and not even move the health globe!! brought in a decent dps and switched the avalanche for taunt shout and grabbed a little more cdr and wow! even better!http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Selquist-1760/hero/12916405
