Those bots on bnet finally got to me. As in I finally decided to visit this Lewt website. Quite frankly, I was astounded. I'll admit that lately I've been desperately searching for high level runes, but just look at how much some of these cost. http://lewt.com/diablo-2/uswest-ladder/runes/
Now I'm sure it's kind of fun if you just need one or even two of these runes to complete a runeword you're working on. So you decide to spend anywhere from 5-10 dollars period. But I can't imagine buying all runes for over a hundred dollars. Unreal.
Some of the torches for sell are even as high as sixty dollars. It's all just pretty amusing I think.
I know the d2legit.com has better prices than that Lewt one.
By the way, the most expensive suit of armor I saw was like 400 dollars. That's like a car payment.
And for what? It seems like a big reason you would have those fancy items would be so you can impress other people with them. But most on bnet hardly socialize anyway, so can someone please explain it to me?
That seems to make sense. Cause I do remember a lot of people around that time complaining about having to wait for the next patch release. And I never saw what the big deal was since then I only played single player. I loved patch 1.09 cause Jamella's Hero Editor for that patch worked maverlously.
lol sometimes it does not matter how careful u play IN hc. There are always those f*cked up situations lol. ive had a couple moments which made no since to me wat so ever but left my char dead lol
I get pissed off as it is when I get killed cause of lag. I can't imagine how a high level HC player would feel if they were killed for that reason too.
oh trust me ive lost a couple over lvl 80 due to a sudden spike of LAG....once min ur owning hell baal minions od destruct...the next ur trying as fast as u can to exit the game...u leave the game..battle.net times out...u login only to find ur char a mere ghost...and since u left no one can loot ur gg items for u
I really think more and more about starting a HC Necromancer. I just wish I could cheat a little bit. Like have a hundred free points for my skill tree or something. But is it not true that lots of great items drop more frequently in Hardcore games?
item drops are the same, Though items in hc are worth a little more due to the fact that u are risking more by running hell boss's
a good example...destruction key nithaliak drops
why is it worth more...
because nithaliak has corpse explosion which could kill ANY ANY ANY char in 1-2 blast...running him was quite fun with my necro with nigma...id go in their and corpse expload every corpse befor he could

Anyway item drops are exactly the same
If you're not getting better items in order to better survive, what exactly is the incentive of having a HC character. I just don't know why you would invest the time in one unless the rewards were greater than if you had a regular character.
Nihlathak is fun to fight with either a Necro or an Assassin just cause you get to have a corpse exploding contest.
the rewards? a much closer bond with those u call allies(friends on b.net) a much more challenging game, its almost a new game enitrely.
ur play style changes much, u learn to anticipate things
like ive said befor lol
when u have had every item u want and every char build u could dream of all GG in softcore, The transition to HC is somewhat refreshing,

theres pretty much a rule, Trust no one, unless u personaly know them
every free rsh out their is just another player looking to pk u and end ur hc players life.
