Theorizing future content is just for fun, no need to be all serious-buisness.
And why would adding back the Paly to the expo be lame? We're not talking about adding all the old classes, just a few. Why can't it be D3 with 2 old class returning?
how many shifter skills would there be? would you have 2-3 forms, or 10? with runes you could change forms to 50 other things. with to few shifter skills, its not specialized enough to be considered a shifter, with to many, you wouldnt have enough skills to do anything in shifted form. so would you just walk around as warewolf with 2 skills to use? how fun!
It would be very cool to see a shapeshifter or an illusionist fused together. 8-10 diffrent shapes, runes attached on them and some basic attacks. And this could fit well with an alchemist, having drugs and such. This points to Druids a bit. 4 shield transformations, 4 attack. It doesnt need to be werewolf, it could just be a giant with a big axe for 5 seconds or whatever, having you spam some transformations.
and there's titan sword and axe, that doesnt mean they gonna add a titan race/class.there's behemoth hammer, it doesnt mean there's gonna be a behemoth classthere's tyraels might, that doesnt mean you can play as tyrael.so just cause there's pirate sword, doesnt mean anything
True, I see your point. Playable character, perhaps not but, I would happily see a titan, behemoth, pirate and tyrael in the background, just as I love the ide of unicorns as an easteregg. And Meshif would be a pirate I guess.
I will preface this with: Meshif. Definitely a "pirate/high-seas"-esque character in Diablo 2.
Blades, cutlasses, etc., "Pirate" could pretty much be a thief/rogue class. That's what a "Pirate" is on land, yes?
"Pirate" as a class? I hope not. I already am disappointed in the Demon Hunter...which as a side note, is a pretty stupid class concept/name considering every class, in every Diablo game...HUNTS DEMONS. :|
Meshif is a sea merchant and not all the classes hunt demons as their profession.
I never said Meshif was a pirate. I said he was "pirate/high-seas"-esque. Yes, he is a merchant, which means that "pirates" would exist in Sanctuary. That is really all I meant.
As far as "demon hunter" being a "profession"- I would consider that the "profession" of all the Diablo characters in general. Just a personal sentiment. Barbarian is a CLASS, not the profession, same as an Amazon, Paladin...what have you. I personally just don't like it as a class. I think it is very bland as a whole and uninspired. Just my opinion. Almost all off-topic but that is my own fault. :/
I'll agree that it makes logical sense that pirates do exist in the world of Sanctuary.
As for Demon Hunter, I respect your opinion that you may not like its concept, but I personally like it. It has a Batman feel (vengeance/anger) with a little Blade (all of their strength (dark magic) none of their weaknesses (easily killable)) add in.
And the way I see the "profession" thing is that when a DH kill a demon, it's more personal, when the other classes kill a demon, it's more or less cause it's in the way.
We may digress a little, but talking about classes in general is somewhat still on point heheh

I both agree and disagree, I dont know.
But yeah your right about it not being a class when its just a profession. I just think about the miner details: Glowing eyes from an Demonhunter.
I think that it was Jay, who told us (or who was it?) that it could be a sideffect from the dark magic (or rituals!?) they tampered with.
Having that in mind, this tiny detail could mean that if they once where human, they now are something diffrent. Not just like an angry vengence type of character. And thus, a new class.
Edit: And Demon Hunter, was the name of the first concept of having it split into a human, and a demon, with demonhand etc. Why they didnt change the name must have bin that they feelt the DH was stil a bit "dark" and a bit "demonic".
Did I mention never ever? Oh, ok.
I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
