Did you like how often and how easy you could reroll characters in Diablo 2? Should this same mechanic resurface in Diablo 3?
What would be the best way to remedy this if you did not like the ease in leveling?
What are your thoughts of the ability to respec your characters?
Thoughts?

Diablo 2 had a unique way of using skills - unique meaning once you spend your skill points, you cannot reallocate them. Other blizzard games such as World of Warcraft employ a system that allows you to spend a sum of money to "respec" your character's skill points.
The cure for Diablo's way of using skill points was the ease in level characters. This allowed you to reroll characters as a means to fix your previous mistakes on your other characters.
I really like the fact that in order to perfect a character it takes at least some effort. Not just paying an npc some gold to restart. Resets encourage cookie cutter builds and causes PvP to become useless if an armory is created where people can view your stats/skills/equipment and simply copy your build.
I thought the term rerolling only referred to items with random properties gaining different random properties. Anyway I don't think they should allow much respeccing. I kinda like how Mythos approached respeccing.
...i absolutely HATE adding ONE extra skill point and then feeling like i have to reroll.

i liked dueling (and winning against) level 40s and 50s with my level 30 barb in D2
Contradicting. I enjoyed having to recreate if I messed up a skill. I also enjoyed the fact that others had to recreate if they messed up a skill (big PvP fan).
I don't know what the level max. will be, but let's say it will be level 100.
Leveling from 1 to 20 should be easier.
Leveling from 20 to 40 should be more difficult.
Leveling from 40 to 70 should be hard.
Leveling from 70 to 90 should be harder.
Leveling from 90 to 100 must take a LOT of time or will be VERY, VERY hard.
I think they've already hinted to the fact that 100 will be the cap. One of the developers mentioned it irked him to be 99 and be prevented from that 1 extra point. Personally, I liked 99 as a cap.
100 is a well rounded cap and means your on that top tier, 99 stil feels like your nearly on par with someone at 92, but triple digits is true achivement.
Rerroling in D2? Can't say I understand.
If I got it straight ,my opinion is:
-The game should be as hard as possible;
-No skill or perk re-specing should be allowed with the exception of the last one ( and doing so immediately with the implementation of 2 simple buttons after we make our selection: End and Cancel selection) . Won't kill the fast-paced action and will shut some people up that are pro-respeccing.

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
Leveling should be a bit harder, but nothing like WoW or those types of games. In return I'd like to see options for skill relocation so I don't need to remake characters after each patch.

"The gaming public now has focus on Diablo again, and with it comes the modern-age of trolling and jackassery."
Rerolling is starting your character over, like in D2 when you would remake your amazon because bows were nerfed and javelins became much better. You would then "reroll" a javazon.
We're discussing maybe having your skills reset so you could spend them all over again in javelins rather than in bows etc.
Does that help any?

The only thing that I have beef with is that our first characters will undoubtedly require rerolling due to our inability to see where the skills will lead to, the damage, etc.
I would at least like the ability to respec at some point, just due to those who like to keep their first characters, and actually have them be correctly created.
I'm getting the idea people are getting confused as to what Rerolling means... I think the poll kind of needs to be redone. I see a lot of people posting "I like the idea of being able to reroll a character if you're not happy with the skills" thinking it means Respeccing... ??

i know it's a contradiction but i'd like it to be relatively easy to level in D3 while still making quests and bosses challenging.
i'd at least like there to be little difference between levels.
i hated how in WoW a level 65 stood aboslutely no chance against a 69 unless the 69 was asleep at his keyboard.

I think it should be somewhat easy to get to some point in the game 50 level or so. But not by rushing through all the content and then leeching exp.
RIP: Demon Hunter: lvl 50 | Barb: lvl 60 (plvl 5) | Monk: lvl12 & lvl70 (plvl 200)

A quest change wouldn't be a bad idea. I could then complete the quest before a patch for example and not be gimped after the new release.
Or, with every new patch, skills could be reset and then reallocated.

Perhaps that's just me =]
