I was actually going to try Seismic Slam: Strength from Earth in place of Rend: Blood Lust to see how it fares. Seismic Slam was my spender in my 2H build pre-1.0.4, and I wanted to see if it was as awesome as before. It'll be tough to beat Rend's 700% though, but the burst healing from Bloodthirst may be better than Rend's slow trickle.
with this kind of Skorn and 2200 strength I as well would love seismic slam. actually i would enjoy almost any build. Mybe because everything melts in you way no matter what skill you choose.
Melting stuff is easy but staying alive while doing it is another issue. I dont think you will find any success with a skorn with a double tornado bulid or any whirlwind bulid. I havent seen HoA 2hand bulid that has decent surivibility. The only 2hander bulid that worked other SS bulids is the rend w)bloodlust + merciless assault. Thats my 2 cents anyway.
Slam build works great. Problem is you have to play a bit like a medium range class. This means you can't charge head on into a group, tanking everything and expected to be the last man standing.
Playstyle revolving around slam is you slam without getting hit back. Move in to bash one enemy and retreat before you got surrounded. It's basically hit&run until there's nothing left standing.
Elites can give you a bit of trouble and it might just be best to burn them using some combination of wotb/EQ/IIB.
Or you could just also use rend and stand in the middle of the pack as they melt. But then again rend with bloodlust is so good there is very little reason to spend fury on anything else.

Yes, the difference in these builds is the playstyle and little things like micromanagement that people forget about. Some people find the "micro" required for hit&run gen/spend to be annoying. Of course its still much less micro than I dare say WoW required
I'm assuming the fact you have the "No Escape" passive equipped is a mistake considering you have neither Ancient Spear nor Weapon Throw in that build. What is normally in its place?

Actually i'm having great succes playing a ww build with a 2hander. Only playing with 500 resists but 1300 loh i can farm all of act 3 in less than 1 hour with only a couple of death and it s probably the most fun i've had with my barb. Cleave crits for around 150k with tornadoes ticking around 20/30k crit and ww hitting for 50k crit with decent gear but nothing fancy. I have 45% crit and 400% crit damage. Of course you can't camp the voids you have to move constantly but that's the point of the build i guess
