4 of the 7 piece Inna's Mantra set using the Inna's Reach Daibo, and the Helm, Boots and Pauldrons for Uliana's Stratagem. Diamond in the Helm, all Emeralds in the Torso, and either all Emeralds for offense or all Diamonds for defense in the Legs. Secondary affix priority is on Life per Spirit spent or Maximum Spirit total.


A Hellfire Amulet works to supplement the build's offensive/defensive power such as using Seize the Initiative or Resolve, whereas Ess of Johan works well for enemy grouping and Slowing. For Rings, Convection of Elements and Unity are the prime fit, though Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac would help shred the cooldown on Mystic Ally.


For Legendary Gems, the focus is on improving damage with every individual strike of each combo hit and piling it all on enemies as much as possible. Bane of the Stricken increases that damage with every blow and gives a massive boost to boss and Rift Guardian enemies, Gogok of Swiftness supplements attack speed, dodge chance and cooldown reduction, and Pain Enhancer supplements Exploding Palm as well as granting additional attack speed. Swapping Gogok for Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard would work if needing a more direct defensive/healing option.


Spirit Guards are key to the build's defensive power, though a maxed affix Bindings of the Lesser Gods would work as well. Gungdo Gear is a more utility offensive boost, spreading Exploding Palm to those damaged by it though given the ease of which the build already distributes it, this could be made almost ineffective.


For Cubed items, use of the Crudest Boots is the keystone to the build's damage potential, doubling the maximum number of Mystic Allies and boosting the damage bonus to the full 7500%, Lion's Claw adding another 7 hits to Seven-Sided Strike and Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac shredding cooldowns when expending Spirit.

Paragon of 1000 and above is required to push past GR60 range, with emphasis on fleshing out Maximum Spirit and Movement Speed before Dexterity and Vitality.


Attack Speed and Cooldown Reduction for faster skill use, Critical Hit Chance and Damage for damage capability.


Life Regeneration for healing, Resist All and Armor for defense, and then Life total.


Life on Hit for healing, Resource Cost Reduction for better Spirit use, and Area Damage for overlapping Exploding Palm. Gold Find isn't applicable to the build.

Build Guide

This build has been tested in patch 2.6.1 on the PS4.


The build is entirely a survival oriented Greater Rift push build, it is not meant in any capacity for speedrunning Rifts. The focus is instead of sheer attack speed to pile on damage to enemies and smash through them wave by wave to ensure reaching and beating the Rift Guardian within the 15 minute time limit. It's attack pattern focuses on stacking up a many enemies around it as possible to keep Exploding Palm spread out and using Seven-Sided Strike and Mystic Allies to deal supplemental damage.


The main portion of the damage comes from Exploding Palm with the Essence Burn rune. While increasing the damage of the DoT effect, it also gives the second biggest boost to the on-death explosion, but turns it into another DoT effect in turn. As a result, this is the only variation of Exploding Palm that can stack damage on its targets during the main burn and the subsequent explosion, greatly increasing its damage potential and usefulness provided the build has enough attack speed. Use of Way of the Hundred Fists with the Assimilation rune grants improved damage to itself and all other skills for every enemy hit by the third part of the combo, and with the Uliana's 2 piece bonus, this also inflicts Exploding Palm to all those hit at the same time, and critical hits grant the Bleeding effect for Pain Enhancer to stack even more damage.


Enemies are gathered in close via Cyclone Strike, granted a larger radius with Implosion and dealing a good hit of Holy damage at the same time, leaving them vulnerable to Exploding Palm and followed up with Seven-Sided Strike, the Incinerate rune granting even more burn DoT damage. Use of the Fire Ally with the Inna's 2 piece bonus makes for a 20% damage increase, then boosted to 40% by the effects of Crudest Boots granting two Fire Allies along with all the others.


The Inna's 2 piece and 4 piece bonus in combination doubles the base effect of the Monk's Mantras and grants all four Mantra base effects at once, though in the case of using Mantra of Healing with Sustenance it again doubles the amount of healing granted and granting an absorb shield when active, making it the main healing utility for the build.


The passives supplement all this, Beacon of Ytar granting cooldown reduction for Mystic Ally, Chain of Resonance cutting Mantra cost by 50% and granting 4 Spirit per second generation, Alacrity granting another 15% attack speed for Way of the Hundred Fists, and Unity granting a full 20% damage bonus for all the Mystic Allies affected by Mantra of Healing.


Due to using the Mantra of Healing as well as the slower push focus of the build, it is highly suited to group play as much as solo play.
