    • Bane of the Stricken
    • Bane of the Trapped
    • Zei's Stone of Vengeance

Kanai's Cube

  • Reilena's Shadowhook
  • Corpsewhisper Pauldrons
  • Convention of Elements

Ring for cube: Wear whichever ring is rolled BEST between Krysbin's and COE and cube the other.

Max Essence on Weapon and Off Hand is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY! Look at Reilena's Shadowhooks Cube Effect!!

Gems in Gear:

Weapon: Emerald

Pants/Torso: Topaz

Helmet: Diamond

This build is HIGHLY dependent on the 2.00 Attack Speed break point. ONLY ONE of the above items can roll with 6% AS, all others MUST BE max AS to achieve this break point!!

The faster you attack the more stacks of Stricken can be applied, hence the 2.00 AS break point + Swift Harvesting passive.

--------> You start with 1.0x Base Multiplier <--------

Every 5 successful strike on the Rift Guardian = .1x Multiplier

5hits = 1.1x, 10hits = 1.2x, 15hits = 1.3x, and so on. (KEEP TRACK IN YOUR HEAD)

Paragon Priorities

Core

Primary Stat
Vitality
Maximum Resource
Movement Speed

Offense

Critical Hit Damage
Attack Speed
Cooldown Reduction
Critical Hit Chance

Defense

Life
Armor
Resist All
Life Regeneration

Utility

Life on Hit
Resource Cost Reduction
Gold Find
Area Damage

You DO NOT want to have any Area Damage as it is not useful to this current build. This is a single target focus and any Area Damage is just useless.

All other stats are listed in priority order.

Core: Intelligence/Vitality can be swapped based on preference.

1. If you want to survive the GR = Max Vita with no INT

2. If you want to be a clean-up killer = Max INT with no VITA

You can allocate stats how you please, however I prefer/find it easier to just roll with INT, MS, MR at all times.

Build Guide

Do you like dying all the time? Are you not afraid of being a corpse on the ground? Do you enjoy being the guy who ends it all when YOU want to? Want a playstyle that's satisfying but only during crucial points in the GR? Look no further, you've found the RGK Build!

The Who, What, When, Where and Why of it all.

Who: You are the RGK of your group, your main goal is to kill the Rift Guardian. Sounds easy right? Hell, I wish! This build and the playstyle will frustrate the hell out of you and even make you shake your head with anger and disbelief at points, don't give in to the hate and frustration, your time is coming!

What: This build is known as the Rift Guardian Killer. It is meant for 4 man GR110+ pushing and can go as high as 130+ with ease. Currently EVERY top tier meta group has this specific Necromancer on their team. Understanding the RGK takes time but with proper gear/training/positioning/patience this build will MELT a Rift Guardian in seconds.

When: USUALLY the RGK waits until the Rift Guardian shows up to show his/her true power BUT that's not the only time you get to be a boss! You can kill one off Blues or stubborn Yellows that just wont die, don't believe me? Your wizard/monk won't hesitate to tell you what to do, so don't worry!

Where: The BEST positioning for the RGK is OUTSIDE of the mob clumps that the wizard/monk/barb have created. Here you will be slashing and hacking with the 2.00 AS to curse everything in your path with FRAILTY (kills monsters <15% life.)

Why: Why play this character? This Necromancer has a great deal of SATISFACTION when operating at it's fullest potential. Watching a Rift Guardian with 4-14 Quadrillion life, melt in just 10 seconds is AMAZING beyond words. You are your teams last resort for the end of the GR, Pull up those boot straps, eat a corpse, cast that land of the dead and watch that Rift Guardian Die!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FYI: This build takes advantage of the 6 piece bonuses of the Pestilence Necromancer Set. This set coupled with a properly rolled Travelers Pledge and timing on the COLD CYCLE of COE you should see maximum damage during your 4 second COLD CYCLE window.

DISCLAIMER 1: You need to have all members STOP hitting the Rift Guardian for at least 10 seconds to proc your Krysbins 300% legendary ability. When you cast your LOD the Rift Guardian will FREEZE in place proccing this effect efficiently.

How to play:

1. Mobs/Clumps - Slash at everything to apply frailty/curses > cast Simulacrum THEN Land of the Dead > Click your Corpse Lance/Devour > Watch Enemies Die.

DISCLAIMER 2: You get 10 seconds of Land of the Dead/Simulacrum to take advantage of, cast your spells during the last 2 seconds of your PHYSICAL CYCLE of COE to maximize your CRIT CHANCE Stacking. See the Brittle Touch Rune of Corpse Lance Skill. During the 6 seconds you are NOT on your COLD CYCLE you are stacking crit chance per each lance hit, when COLD CYCLE comes, watch the magic happen!

Rift Guardian w/o adds - Begin by pulling the Rift Guardian to an open room where you have a clear 360o area around you. Start slashing and stacking your Stricken and counting along, remember your multipliers! Have a teammate keep and eye on the timer, know your Cooldowns on your LOD and Simulacrum, this is crucial for Rift Guardians that will take multiple cycles. Unleash hell when you feel you've stacked enough. This will differ in situations like "do I have more than 2 minutes left" or "I am under my CDR for my LOD and Simulacrum" it's all about timing.

Rift Guardian w/ adds - This is significantly harder because Stricken will apply to the first monster hit, so you need to get the Rift Guardian alone! Know your Guardians, some spawn adds instantly, some need significant damage first to spawn them!

If the Rift Guardian has not spawned adds yet but is capable then stack away and see the w/o adds section above.

If the Rift Guardian has started spawning immediately (Hamelin) then try to get him alone and stack as much as possible and practice this next trick I am going to teach you.

How to: Spawn walk a Rift Guardian

1. Your wizard needs to go to town and stay there.

2. Your Barb needs to keep the focus of the Rift Guardian.

3. RGK and Monk need to walk to a new location (2-3 screens away, w/ open area away from entrance/exits)

4. Your Barb needs to teleport back to town

5. The Rift Guardian will now teleport to your location, after 10 seconds of no damage, let loose!
