Elusive Ring
I found the main problem with DH was the squishyness, (that's me being an average DH player). So i have optioned for some toughness to be able to take a hit if i get caught out. I have around 95% dmg reduction when GR with this build with my current setup at around the 170-180m toughness based on stats and items @ paragon 800.
I took Elusive Ring over Convention of Elements as the 60% dmg reduction is permanent vs the short buff duration and long cool down that Elements ring gives you as i prefer to run solo than with groups. If your running in a group take CoE instead.
With Chest, Weapon and off-hand ideally you want to get +12 Discipline as this stats with your Unhallowed Essence set, take note that this benefit only works on your current discipline not your total, so you always want to maintain max discipline at all times. An item that has say no discipline but had good stats may not be as good as a lower dmg item that has +12 discipline so always take this into consideration when choosing your gear. For every point of Discipline u have u get 40% increased damage to having 3 items at +12 gives you 1,440% dmg increase.
I switch between Cindercoat & Visage of Gunes depending on how high GR I'm doing. If I'm using Bane of the Stricken then i opt for Cindercoat which allows me to stack the passive effect of Stricken more alternatively i run Visage if I'm using powerful or soloing GR's. The 30% fire skill cost reduction for multishot and this also applies to Vault - Trail of cinders. Using Vault-Trail of Cinders costs 2 discipline vs using Vault-Tumble which uses 4 discipline depending on your overall resource cost reduction as well.

Resource you can never get enough of and movement speed is a must to allow you to dodge / run through rifts quicker. Primary stat is always a much as you gain a % to dmg and toughness from this stat.
CDR is important you need to be at 37% or greater in order to have 100% up-time on Vengeance. You MUST have 100% up-time on vengeance in order to stay alive and do decent damage and not run out of resources. CHC and CHD are also important as these stats give you significantly more damage, atk speed is nice but once you hit the 2.00 atk speed CHC is a higher dmg gain than atk speed.
Resist is first as you should be 99% of the time 40 yards away from your targets so you shouldn't be getting hit by any melee atks then get armour and life, then regen.
Area damage is important as Multishot has a large cast range and size and this can proc on each effect this is your first option, followed by resource cost reduction as this allows you to spam that multishot a few more times.
Build Guide
Welcome to my Unhallowed Essence Guide. (Will update as i progress) Looking to start off with Season 15 as UE is the started set.
Current Clear: TBA
Current Paragon: TBA
With this build i have successfully cleared GR80 Season 14 and will be pushing higher. The main points are listed in other sections but the keys things are summarised below;
1. Check gear with +12 Discipline as this may be a better option; Weapon, Chest & Quiver
2. Weave in your Evasive Fire to proc your wraps of clarity for a 35% dmg reduction
3. Vault every 8 seconds to maintain 65% dmg reduction
4. Must get to 37% CDR to maintain active Vengeance skill
5. Try to be 40 yards from enemy to do max dmg
If you not using compass rose/travellers pledge then the passives you get a choice of 5 to use (+1 when you use hellfire amulet) they should be as stated below;
1. Ambush
2. Cull the Weak
3. Ballistics
4. Thrill of the Hunt
5. Steady Aim
You always want to achieve max distance between you an the target (40 yards) as your Legendary Gems give you a significant dmg increase when used correctly.
Will update this guide as i progress in the Season. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments below.

Take care and happy rifting
Looks good! Last season i felt too squishy on my multishot dh. So this build looks really nice:D
Due to having elusive ring i went straight with DEX gems in gear, and diamond in helm for CDR.
CDR should be on shoulders, hands i go for dmg you should be able to achieve around 37% maybe 35-36% once you roll CDR on Quiver and paragon points as well. You also want to put a Diamond in helm for the extra CDR too.
there is no chd on quiver?
Don't you like Multishot damage on feet?
Hey! thanks for the build, 30 min into using it im tearing through 65+ GR with no optimal gear and sitting on paragon 700+-
I wanted to ask, is it mandatory to use socket in quiver to put another emerald? or the VIT roll have more weight?
In the neck, isnt Fire % skill dmg stronger than more pure Dex?
And the bow cant have CHD and CHC
And as for the rings, when I get to paragon lv 800+ i will start gaining insane amounts of dex, can I swap out the DEX from the rings to put DMG? that weapon damage roll seems nice, but im kinda new to those mechanics....
Fire % probably is a good choice, however DEX gives you some toughness and having fire % dmg in your wrists gives you that extra buff you need as well.
I have updated the bow to have correct stats.
I currently have on my main around 15k DEX, which my gear around 3.2m DMG (https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/PyroskE-6727/hero/81310406) You can never have enough DEX
I'm running a multishot build as well using marauder's...
Question, why would you go with unhallowed instead of marauders's 1200% for each sentry up damage?
So far I've been able to do GR 60 plus, but not 70 (probably need to get ancient legendaries and roll some stats for more damage)
I currently just got around 605 paragon and am able to clear a 70 with only a few ancient pieces.
can i get your thoughts on my build i cant pass gr 71 yet https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/hermanchoske-1496/hero/76628187 also love the build
Your build is pretty good, however the shoulders and restrain ring have terrible stats, ideally you want to get DEX, AREA DMG, RES, CDR on shoulders and ring you want DEX, CHC and CHD. Your CHC is fairly low as well being only 35% you want to get this around 50% if possible, if it was my toon I would change the fire dmg on neck to CHC.
Also; never roll vitality for caldesann's despair, you want DEX and only DEX, when you increase your DEX by default your toughness increases as well thus Vitality becomes a useless stat.
This is my toon ATM haven't been playing much recently but use as a guideline: https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/PyroskE-6727/hero/87004448
I currently have approx 1.7m dmg on this toon.
Hope this helps.
You considered using Pride's Fall instead of Cindercoat for armor in the cube? It may not be 100% up time, but it affects the Tumble rune on Vault which actually makes vaulting even cheaper.
1 thing I cant figure out is why builds like this use evasive fire w/ focus rune. It doesnt slow mobs or proc cull the weak and its cold not fire. Its not like the build really needs the extra focus because it has Vengeance up at all times and a ton of cost reduction. I can usually just spam multi-shot and only use the generator once every few seconds to keep focus and restraint powered up and I am not even using the best gear. I am not saying its bad to use evasive fire (it has good range) but if you must use it why not use it with the fire rune that increases the dps since like I pointed out you dont really need the extra focus? I get that the main dps is from the multishot and not from the generator so dps may not be as important but you can have both and yet you dont. I could understand this choice if you were using iceblink but you are not and so I just cant see the logic. If you really feel you need that much focus generation over the dps you could use entangling shot with the fire rune which gives you the same amount of focus but also slows the mobs which will in turn allow you to proc your bane of the trapped and cull the weak. Furthermore you could use something like bolas for the explosive area damage with the bitter pill rune that gives discipline (will be more effective on larger packs of mobs and makes discipline easier to come by). Dont get me wrong the build is great but I am just confused on why you chose that is all.
The problem with marauders is that it requires "setup" time and you cant just push damage out straight away, where with unhallowed you can smash that dps as soon as you push the button.
Have just updated this for season 14, not playing DH this season but chances are ill come back to it sometime later on.
Slight updates for Season 15, with UE being the starter set ill be getting on board
How do you have no CDR on the gloves? The maths just does not work out. I have put it on my gloves and the other armour you suggest, and have Vengeance up 100%, but if you leave it to your suggestions it drops to 33% total cooldown reduction.
And, yes I have a diamond in the helm. Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks
