I personally really like Phantasm for proc'ing 6 piece Zuni when Piranhado is on cooldown, but Acid Cloud and Grasp of the Dead are also great options. (Update: Recently started running Grasp of the Dead: Death is Life and it's amazing with Gruesome feast, currently prefer this over Phantasm.)
In the video I'm running Grave Injustice over Gruesome Feast, mainly because on my PTR gear I didn't have much pick up radius. Gruesome Feast is probably overall better for more damage, Grave Injustice is decent for Slam Dance and Piranhado.

You can but it's not going to be as good. You lose alot of AoE without the Dagger of Darts.
What are your thoughts on running Homunculus and replacing a ring with Pox, and replacing Piranado with Sacrifice? The buffs with Provoke the Pack stack, and it seems like it'd be pretty easy to weave in a few casts of Sacrifice between darts to keep up a permanent 40%-60% damage buff.
Sacrifice does not proc 6 piece Zuni. Not a fan.
Phantasm lasts longer and it slows, whereas acid cloud has a larger radius. Comes down to personal preference really.
Built this set two days ago and I am in love with it. Easily blows my Rain of Frogs spec I was rolling out of the water, where I was only able to do TIV comfortably, this spec has let me grind TV with no troubles and from a few more suggested upgrades from this guide, I can easily roll TVI!
Just trying to finish it off by getting the Aughild's set for the wrists & shoulders, as well as a zuni chest, offhand, and a better Witching Hour, and I'll be content with where my Witch Doctor is at!
As long as Blizzard doesn't nerf this spec, I think I'm going to be maining WD for many a season to come!

Thanks for the awesome builds, keep them coming. You mentioned that provoke the pack damage stacks don't proc 6pc zuni? So the darts the fetishes shoot are not buffed? Also I found an Ancient Furnace the other day, any advice on incorporating that into a WD pet build, or am I barking up the wrong tree? Pet builds are DoD or SMK only? Thanks!
Sacrifice does not spend mana, so it won't proc 6 piece Zuni. 2 Handers in a pet build are decent if you run a Belt of Transcendence, to proc your Fetish Sycophants, but it probably won't be great for high level greater rifts.
I understand the idea behind using Convention of Elements.. it's absolutely strong and worth it most of the time. But the hard thing for me to do is drop T+T... is the damage that much higher that you could afford lose 50% AS for 23 fetishes?
I'm excited to try this build though... i just need that damn dagger! ha
Your fetishes shoot poison darts when your character shoots them, that is solely based on your characters attack speed, not your pets. Tasker and Theos only affect the fetishes when they attack in melee range.
Piranhado has very strong synergy with Dagger of Darts, grouping the enemies together to max your AoE. Zombie Piranhas is the best for hitting large groups of mobs because the Piranhas jump out of the pool.
Personally, I prefer Piranhado and either Phantasm or Acid Rain for Proc'ing 6 piece zuni. BigDaddyDen runs Zombie Piranhas + Haunt I believe, and that works quite well for him.
Okay so i'm using this build. I managed to clear 50 yesterday (first time with a WD HYPE), and almost cleared a 52 after that. Missed it by literally 5 or 6 seconds. Anyway. I'm having some trouble with my skills . I have a Hellfire with Spirit Vessel, and i don't see Gruesome Feast as worth it. In the 10 or 12 GRifts i have done the past day or two, i never got above a 2 stack with it. Health Globes just don't seem to drop at all. So i'm not sure which other passives to use. Right now i'm just running GI and Tribal Rites to cut down time on BBV a bit.
Also, in terms of Gems. Is Gogok better than Zei and Trapped at higher levels? Let's say i have a Gogok that's level 50, and a Zei/Trapped that's level 60. Would Gogok still be the best?

Also, i found the dagger.... and the build is fantastic... way better than Tiki build IMO
How do you find this build in terms of farming for trial keys. Is this the best WD build to use to get those high 40s even low 50s keys? Is there a better solo build to run for those or is it just group farming high keys at that point? Thanks
finding a good shoulder for this build is difficult, but i may have a solution for very high greaters, beileve it or not, homing pads, hear me out, when fighting motar, reflects, and a number of other attributes that u can foresee that ur ab to take damage, ur able to get an instant 65% in damage reduction, for this build being squishy becomes a problem with pushing the boundries, the damage is diffinantly there but it lacks survivability majorly so much so my dart build 288 hardcore hours played, that could pull 51+ trails died in town due to reflects procing in a 55 fullparty, u could imagine my anger of knowing ur not safe in town... died beside the jewler, so not popping is survival for this build and homing pads may be the answer to push this build further.
Can someone please explain why I should choose Bane of the trapped instead of enforcer? I tried it today and I got a total fail, I met Saxtris in greater rift lvl 46, and I managed to fail the timer because all my pets died kinda early in the fight... And after they died I didnt have enough dmg to kill the boss. Didnt die during the fight but the dmg were very slow, might be pure unluck but it felt like I lost some dmg when I changed the gems.
Bane of the Trapped will be more damage, but you have to proc it.
Hey man, great guide, I have had great success with the build so far. One queston, what do you think Swamp Land pants with 20% poison damage instead of zuni pants?
It may last longer and slow, but that doesn't matter when all you are using it for is to proc the damage of Zuni's, which, no matter what you use, still lasts only 4 seconds. So the double range means you can damage more mobs as long as you have DoD, much faster than you can with Phantasm or anything else.
Every ability that sits on the ground and ticks for damage, refreshes the 6 piece zuni effect per tick.
Also, Acid Cloud does not proc Bane of the Trapped.
