VPN Services and Latency Fix

A player asked on the official forums whether he could use a VPN service to connect to D3's servers, or if that could lead to his account being banned. The blue reply clarified that it would not lead to an account ban, but that the different geographical location of the IP might lead to temporary account locks - for the users own safety. Still something worth knowing for anyone considering these services. Read below.

Intended to try a VPN service, but I've read that it may trigger our accounts getting locked/banned.
So wondering if we're allowed to try the fix above instead?
AnkleBreaker,

None of that will cause any issues with your account, nor would using a VPN service really. The only drawback to using one is that due to the nature of how they work, you may have your account temporarily locked as the servers would see connections coming from different geographical locations, not normally used with your account. As we see this as a potential compromise, the account is prevented from logging in temporarily until the instructions in the email you would be sent are followed. It's pretty much just an inconvenience. Nothing bad happens to your account.

Tavern Talk VoD

A blog post came up earlier reminding players that the VoD for wednesday's Tavern Talk is already up, both on Twitch and YouTube. The useful part quoted below contains some time stamp links for each subject discussed. Check it out!

JHow's End-Game Maps

When we feature ideas for where Diablo could head next, threads and screenshots are usually brought up. But today we have a video suggestion from JHow, uploaded a couple weeks ago. Developers commonly explain how making truly new end-game content requires considerable development time, for new art and assets - but what if you could use what's already in the game and tweak them? Just like what was done with Rifts and Greater Rifts!

His idea consists on using some least maps and areas, like campaign sites that we barely see once, to create a new form of end-game challenge. The first video goes over the general concept, and the second video showcases examples of areas that could be used as maps, and which kind of challenge they could propose.

They're both well thought out, and contain great ideas that could bring some unique end-game challenges where different builds excel. Definitely chek them out, and leave your thoughts on the official forums thread!
