Blue Posts Round-Up

We haven't had a lot of interesting blue activity these past couple days, but here's a roundup of the latest blue posts. First, a clarification on why Teleport still has a minor cooldown even when you have the seasonal wand Aether Walker equipped. Second, a quoted tip about inventory management. Third, an update on the Achievement Display Bug, which says it should be solved. And lastly a couple comments from the community managers on other friendly (but less gameplay-focused) threads, like which follower to use, what do people think of seasons so far and how Piro Marella is not on the Shields class on the Blacksmith.

but it still has ~0.5sec cooldown. As result I cannot teleport instantly just after casting it.
Although Aether Walker removes most of the cooldown on Teleport, it leaves a half-second "safety net.” This is because when we were testing the legendary power, we discovered a bug that caused people to double-teleport when they didn’t intend to do so, often putting them in harm’s way or costing them AP that they didn’t mean to spend.

While this means you won’t teleport quite as quickly as you would without a minor pause, the fix also prevents you from having to be very precise in how long you down the mouse button without wasting AP or putting you in danger. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Stash/Inventory Management
CC123 offered great response about inventory management as far as I'm concerned, and I particularly like points 4 and 5 (quoted below). However, I'd also like to say that it's one of those things that's mostly about personal preference, and whatever works for you. In case you're still looking for more helpful tips about taking care of your stash space, though, I'd recommend taking a look at this video from MeatHead Mikhail. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
4. Periodically do a clean out. be harsh, if you havent used it in a while (obvious exceptions are super rare items), and its not an alternate set piece (as described earlier) then perhaps its time to salvage. Other sets I only keep one of include: Thorns, Blackthorns and unsual usefull crafted sets such as Aughilds and Capt Crimsons (but just one of each in stash). I keep a set of these in case they are buffed, same as Raekers recently was and I had always kept one set since the start of 2.0 which I continued to improve. So when 2.1 came out, I had a pretty decent set already on hand.

5. Best time I find to clear your stash is when you first log on. If you havent got many mates on and arent hit with FR/invites straight away, your usually fresh (havent been playing for several hours and so your not tired) and your choices to scrap/trash are usually correct. If you decide to do a clean out when your tired, you are most likely to make mistakes and scrap the wrong item or make a bad decision.

Achievement Display Bug
Update:
We've successfully developed and deployed a fix for this issue in all regions. At this time, this particular achievement display bug should be resolved. Thanks for all your feedback, everyone! (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Which Follower to Use
For those of you progressing in rifts solo, which follower (and skills) did you choose and why?
I lean towards using whatever follower helps in the area I'm struggling with the most, or whatever follower I have the best gear for. For example, I use the Templar if I tend to be resource starved, or the Enchantress if I need crowd control, but I'll use the Scoundrel if I have a sweet Buriza Do Kyanon. I know it's sort of a cheesy answer, but I don't think followers have a definitive answer. Unless you're using double Unity, and then it's all about whatever relic you have that makes your follower invulnerable.

Seasons Experience so Far
so i wan't to hear your season experience so far what did you like and not like so far?
I'm having a blast with my Seasonal character, and am glad to have some additional motivation to fill out my character roster. I love the fresh take on leveling an unfamiliar class, tweaking build iterations, and finding loot that mixes it all up.

I still find myself wanting to advance my main character, though, so splitting my time between them pretty much means it's going to be slow going.
just wonder what class are you playing this season?
I'm playing two Seasonal characters, actually. A Normal Barbarian, and a Hardcore Wizard.

Piro Marella Missing?
Hey guys...I have 150+ hrs on my sader and I have never seen the plan for this stupid thing drop...any suggestions?
Make sure you aren't making the same mistake I did. I thought for several days that I didn't have this plan because I looked under the "shields" category instead of the "crusader shields" one. :P
I'm hoping what Mortac said is the case, because the Legendary crafting plans generally have a pretty forgiving drop rate. That would be rough streak of bad luck if you never saw one after all that time.

As noted above, Pira Marella is found in the Crusader Shield section of your Blacksmith's recipes instead of the generic Shield category, so it might already be there. Hopefully highlighting this information will benefit some of your fellow Crusaders who might be wondering the same thing. Good luck in your adventures, and with crafting Pira Marella!

Seasonal Crusader Leveling Experience

DeadsetGaming made a video sharing his experience with Seasons so far, and giving some insight on how he leveled his Crusader. Watch it below!

Cold Monk Guide

Friendandmachine also posted a quick guide focused on a Cold-focused end-game Monk, with the reworked Rimeheart and with some strong crowd control abilities, as well as the highest damaging Exploding Palm rune, which happens to be cold. A very "cool" build! ;)

Pain Enhancer Quick Tip

Lastly, but not least for Pet-focused players, we have a quick tip from Redditor DrZeroH, who explains how Pain Enhancer works with Boon of the Hoarder. Check the details below:

After a large amount of testing I have come to the realization as to why I kept on getting boon of the hoarder procs off of my Demon Hunter's sentries while many people kept on tell me that I'm lying and that sentries don't normally proc Boon of the Hoarder.

Its because the Pain Enhancer proc counts as a personal kill rather than a kill from a pet.

I didn't realize this until I switched over my Pain Enhancer in favor of my Bane of the Powerful and suddenly stopped getting my usual Boon of the Hoarder procs while running bounties.

Not 100% sure as to how this is happening but I think Pain enhancer's proc happens immediately off of crits so if you happen to do a big crit that kills a lower health mob instantly the kill counts immediately as a personal kill. This is also why I get way more Boon of the Hoarder procs when I am playing with my 2hand crossbow than my bow (because individual damage crits are much larger)

Addendum: Skyqula shared with us, on the comments section down below, another Gem trick he saw on the interwebz:

(From Jaetch) The Toxic gem triggers the poison shield on Corrupted Angels before your spell's element.
This means if you cast something like Apocalypse on the Angels, they'll put up their poison shield first and all your fire damage will deal its normal damage.

  • I personally found that the Conduit gem triggers Tal Rasha's 4p bonus, calling down a lightning meteor. It does not apply the passive "elemental exposure" though.
