Patch 2.1 LIVE!

The first big content patch for Reaper of Souls is LIVE! Blizzard has uploaded a quick video summary of some of the new features and changes in this patch, along with updated patch notes.

+100% Gold Find and Double Goblins

To celebrate the launch of Patch 2.1, players will be getting a temporary community buff with +100% bonus to Gold Find and twice as many treasure goblins!

(As with our previous buff, please note that the Gold Find bonus will stack multiplicatively with existing bonuses including those provided by items and Paragon points.) This bonus Gold Find and double Treasure Goblin period begins in the Americas region today, August 26, and ends on Tuesday, September 2, at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
We hope you enjoy patch 2.1.0 and look forward to hearing your feedback. In the meantime, good luck, have fun, and we'll see you in Sanctuary!

*The buff is only available on Windows and Mac, but it will apply to all heroes—including those on accounts without Reaper of Souls enabled.

We're pleased to announce that our first Diablo III Season is scheduled to begin this Friday, August 29th. To ensure the roll-out process goes as smoothly as possible for all players, we're planning both a delayed and staggered release, with different gameplay regions launching the season at different times after patch 2.1.0 ships.

For reference, below are the current launch times for Season 1:

Asia: 9:00 a.m. PDT (1:00 a.m. KST, UTC +9)
Europe: 12:00 p.m. PDT (9:00 p.m. CEST, UTC +2)
Americas: 6:00 p.m. PDT (UTC -10)

Please note that these times are tentative and subject to change. If they do, we will be sure to update this thread.

Thanks!

Firebird's Finery Hotfix

It appears the reworked Firebird's Finery set for Wizards is affected by a bug in the latest build of the Patch, and its 6-piece bonus will be temporarily disabled. Rather than holding the entire content to fix it, the devs opted to release the Patch and apply a hotfix as soon as it's ready - they're working to get it ready for later today, but it could be delayed for tomorrow.

Rather than hold up the patch until this bug is fixed and verified internally, we have opted to release the patch with the 6-piece set bonus disabled. We are preparing a hotfix for the set and will apply it as soon as possible. Our best estimate is sometime tomorrow at the latest, but our team is working hard to have the hotfix applied as early as later today.

Thanks for your patience! We're as eager as you are to burn things with fire.

Stormshield Affix Bug

Stormshields are currently affected by a "display bug" that makes their displayed affixed not match the ones actually in effect. It will be fixed in a future patch (not hotfix).

Hello everyone,

As a quick FYI, we wanted to make you all aware of a bug going live in patch 2.1.0 that will cause the Legendary shield,Stormshield, to display incorrect affix rolls.

For those of you who have a Stormshield and update the game to patch 2.1.0, the shield will appear as though its stats have been rerolled, even though the stats themselves have not actually changed. (Exception: Any affixes which are enchanted will not be affected and will display as normal.)

While this is a display issue only, we have temporarily disabled Stormshield from dropping until the bug can be fixed. With this, when the bug is fixed, your Stormshield will again show the correct stats as they were before patch 2.1.0 launched.

We will be correcting this bug in a future client patch (unfortunately it cannot be hotfixed), but do not have an ETA to share at this time. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and thank you for your patience!
