Diablo 3 Sells More Than 15 Million Copies

During the official ActivisionBlizzard conference call we learned that Diablo 3 has officially sold over 15 Million copies across all platforms - PC/Mac, PS3 and X360! The number only counts copies sold last year and does not include Reaper of Souls preorders. The Ultimate Evil Edition for PS4 has been confirmed to come out in 2014.

Some other interesting things were also revealed - Heart of the Swarm "was the number 1 PC game for North America". World of WarCraft has increased in subscriptions for the first time in a couple of years. It has gone up from 7.6 to 7.8 million. World of WarCraft is at the end of the Mists of Pandaria expansion and everyone is anticipating the return to Outland in the upcoming Warlords of Draenor.

Thorns of the Invoker: Fixed an issue with the 4-piece set bonus causing thorns to not hit enemies more than 15 yards away*

Artificially inflated sales numbers...People forget that that original 12 mil was artificially inflated because of the WoW year passes that got a free copy. They were counted into the total sales.One WoW year pass and a free copy equaled a plus one in the sales totals.

That's just one of the 15 million, if they're even being counted.

Does this mean if I recopy my paragon level 15 barb, level 10 WD and level 5 monk I wont be left at a total Paragon level of 4

Because I've got to say... that was pretty disappointing

a +1 for each year pass sold .Not a +1 toward the 15 million. They sold millions of year passes to current WoW players just because of the free copy of D3. People who were paying monthly and figured they were going to keep playing just plopped down the cash for the free game instead of paying month to month and not getting a free game.

There was just 1 Annual Pass event and it was purchased by 1 Million people. 1 out of 15.

When Blizzard anounced the amount of sales last time, it was 12 millions, and they made it clear that the WoW annual passes are not counted for that number, only the amount of actual copies sold. So no, the old number wasn't inflated by the WoW annual pass, and there is no reason the believe that they have done it now.

Anyone having trouble connecting to the PTR since the hotfix? Are the servers down or something...

I just tried to Play a game (17:30 GMT) and I couldn't copy characters and when I tried to play any of my chars it says the connection to the server was lost... Is this just me or is everyone having problems?
