Diablo 3's next expansion is named "Reaper of Souls"?
It looks like the teaser for the next Diablo 3 expansion just went live and everything points to the new expansion being named "Reaper of Souls".
According to the official website "Reaper of Souls" is a trademark and linked to Diablo 3, with Gamescom coming up next week it wouldn't be surprising to see the expansion for Diablo 3 announced there.
Now we don't need to worry about "The Dark Below".
Ummmm....thanks Blizzard for clearing this up?!
Honestly, I would rather have the games unveiled prior to Blizzcon than at Blizzcon. Especially as an attendee. I went to Blizzcon 2008 and I have to say I was quite pleased being in the grp of the first folks outside Blizzard's offices to play Diablo 3. The audience at the WWI that year got to enjoy the thrill of the reveal, but I was much happier getting to play test the game and being shown a new class.
Über boss fights to craft your hellfire ring, which supports paragon leveling. Better endgame crafting to gear up for pvp or more efficient MP runs. These aren't meaningful? They gave us the boot with PVP, I will you that one. People seem to expect a little too much with an ARPG.
I hope you're right.
Before wiping titan project they were playing it internaly at blizzard so if they wouldnt have wipe it it would be in 2014 so the chart has been pretty accurate for the project they didnt reset.
More like late next year at the earliest.
What? D3 launched mid 2012. If you move everything D3 related over by that same amount, then the first D3 expansion that would have dropped in mid 2013 will drop in late 2013.
I doubt it. There still working hard on Loot 2.0 and other stuff most likely. At the rate blizzard works I doubt the expansion is even near ready. They probably have the story done and the act but I bet it's only 75% complete.
I fear when I get home my roommate's poor kitty has already been sacrificed..
right, and my point is if we extrapolate the 6 month pushback, then the first D3 exp pack would launch at the end of 2013.
...Haven't seen you around these parts for awhile. Wonder if we will see FORCE make some D3 videos again soon. You two hyped me up for D3 vanilla and then left pretty soon after release..
Malthael makes the most sense to me - he currently has the most open ended questions in the story line.
Is he still Wisdom? - Tyrael proclaimed himself Wisdom but doesn't the lore go that if an Angel dies that the replacement will appear out of the Crystal Arch in Heaven?
I think Mathael may have turned bad and he is wanting to trap all demons AND angles into the black soul stone so he can become Anu..
We need to kill him.. when we do.. DECKARD CAIN will appear from the Crystal Arch as the the new ANGEL OF WISDOM..
BOOM haha
Razorclaw - Reaper of Angels
Lazerclaw - Reaper of Souls???
Sorry I am just silly right now. Please excuse me
Hey bud! Did he go crazy? It's been a while since I got to play D3. I need to brush up on my D3 lore!
The disclaimer was added by MMO-Champion. The chart has Titan's actual codename (before it was public knowledge) as well as WoW TCG aka Hearthstone, and the provenance of it was a Blizzard China employee, Ye Weilun, sold it and lots of other confidential Blizzard data to rival companies, and an employee at one of those companies that bought it leaked it on a Chinese forum. http://news.mmogamesite.com/blizzard-china-manager-resigns-management-reshuffle-for-leak.html
An interview with Jay Wilson also 'confirms' multiple expansions. "There's a lot of people on our team who aren't happy with our class choices,” Jay admitted. "But after we've established 'Diablo III' as its own game with its own type of gameplay and experiences, I wouldn't be opposed to looking at old classes. We are trying to design the Witch Doctor class so that if we did bring back the Necromancer, there's room for him. We're looking out ahead of time at what our expansions are going to be, so we've got to keep room open for some of those other classes down the road."
