If you're a Barbarian in Inferno and looking to try a little something new JCLe has just the thing. He has posted a rather in-depth guide to the Inferno Ranged Barbarian build. Within his thread you can find multiple version of the builds for both group and solo play, as well as for geared and not so geared.
Witch Doctor Inferno Guide
Xago over at our Witch Doctor forums has posted a guide explaining how he has managed to defeat Inferno on his Witch Doctor. There are many videos in his thread of the major bosses and he has also posted how he deals with the harder Elite packs.
Following is his generic Witch Doctor build. However some of the boss videos he recommends another build which he links to in his thread. Make sure to check out the post for much more info if you're a Witch Doctor in Inferno.
Demon Hunter DPS Calculator
Dretar has posted a spreadsheet that he has been hard at work on. Make sure to check out his thread for more information and to leave feedback. The Spreadsheet can be used for the following:
- Gear comparison.
- Specific stat change influence on your build damage.
- Absorption calculation.
Unidentified Items and Patch 1.1
With the changes to legendaries coming in patch 1.1 not affecting older legendaries, players have wondered if keeping the item 'unidentified' was a good move.

No, identifying doesn't roll items. The item is rolled when it drops. Identifying it is just the 'opening a present' ritual. (Source)

people love coming up with unique fun builds, its part of what diablo is
Exactly. Diablo is all about trying builds that are wacky, but if they work in inferno, it becomes a 'viable' build.
It's like melee wizards. They're totally doable but they may or may not be viable in inferno.
Guessing you never plan on playing Hardcore Inferno.
I made a throwing axe barb in Diablo 2 and it was a blast. Not super effective due to the lack of available throwing weapons, but I had lots of fun and that's all that matters.
I loved unorthodox builds in D2. I had an elemental druid before the synergy buffs and a necro dedicated 100% to summons. 31 skeletons, 31 mages, 31 revives, and 1 golem. People who joined my game would get pissed and leave, calling me “lagcro”. I stole that name and used it for the name of my build.
a moment enjoyed is never a moment wasted
! I take back my thanks over ROAR /smack =P
but on a serious note, he just mimiced what the user did in the video, will get it fixed =D
Care to link the video ? some people have been talking about this and I can't find it. I'm curious to see if it's the exact same and what he thinks about it.
Either way, I optimized the build and only posted after clearing Inferno to make sure nothing is inaccurate
If that's directed to me, nope.
I cleared Inferno with about 2million worth of gear, that's part of the reason why. Also I like innovating and it's the most effective build I could make without being overgeared for everything (which means your build doesn't matter at that point)
I don't think you understand how undergeared I was at start. Clearing inferno with a melee DPS barb requires you to get close to the same gear that a tank barb would, so what's the point ? It's gonna cost you almost as much for the same result. This doesn't sound so retarded anymore does it?
Not everybody has cleared Inferno before any nerfs so just appreciate what works and hate on what doesn't.
It's also been stating everywhere that ASI works and IAS doesn't!
Only a few pieces only have IAS spawn on them, like Inna's Glory.
Only some are broken.
To determine if the boots are working or not working. You will need to see how the attack speed increase is written on the boots. For example look below.
"Attack Speed Increased by" -Working
"Increases Attack Speed by" -Not Working
