We’re in the process of updating the regional section of the Auction House FAQ with the below changes to the home region that South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand will be connecting to for Diablo III.

If I live in Australia/New Zealand/Southeast Asia, what server will I play Diablo III on?
Diablo III players in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia will, by default, connect to the Americas region. By connecting to this region, players will have a wider pool of people to play with and access to a more vibrant and active auction house marketplace. Further details on regional connection options and auction house functionality will be posted at www.diablo3.com prior to release.

How does this impact the items I have purchased in the auction house?
Auction house purchases are bound to the servers in the region in which they're bought. Any items acquired on game servers in the Americas region are bound to those servers and are not transferrable to the servers in Europe or Asia (and vice versa). Please keep this in mind when making purchases in the auction house. We’ll release more details on the auction house functionality prior to the game’s release.

Please note that as these updates suggest, there will be some options with regard to the regions. We’ll be providing further information on those options, and answering any questions you may have on this change to your Diablo III home region as we get closer to release.

You've been heard! There's a clean up pass coming for BattleTag in the near-ish future that should resolve most of the issues with a BattleTag being displayed instead of a character name, or a character name not being displayed at all. I think it may also line up with some fixes for BattleTags here on the forums. Although I'll still think of you all as my little D3BETA's... *sniff*

BattleTag is still intended to be your big overarching account-wide identifier that will follow you from Blizzard game to Blizzard game, but individual character identity is still obviously very important.

Is it possible to change your Battletag? Mine's been Derek for really long now and obviously I didn't realize how important battletags are supposed to be...
Yeah, and there are still some weird restrictions due to the language filter we have getting all jacked up. We plan to provide a name change at some point before release.

Random Blues
I just don't think I have it in me to play HC. I'd be too scared that if I died, I'd quit for good.
It always had the opposite effect on me. Sure there is the initial shock and disbelief, but pretty quickly thereafter, I always want to start a new character.

Because I'm so stoked for building up my banner and the things around it, I think the shock and disbelief stage will be even shorter with in Diablo III. (Blue Tracker/Official Forums)

I know that it was originally tied to a Legendary item, Griswold's Edge. Since then, that item has been disabled, but the container still spawns.
The drops are now random, including a chance to get nothing. Griswold's Edge has been removed from the game as a Legendary item.

The game or the beta?

Casting spells in all directions, they are positioned fine in left front, right front and right back, but there is no sound in LEFT BACK.
An official answer regarding surround support isn't available right now. We'll have the info at launch though.
Personally, it wouldn't make sense to me to support it for a game in which you're not viewing the environment through your character's eyes.

You can usually use a multi-channel sound mode to get sound from all the speakers but like I said, I can't say whether it would be truly surround info from the rears or not. (Blue Tracker/Official Forums)

Diablo III Beta in French and German
The call for heroes goes out once more! The French and German Diablo III beta clients are now available, and battle-hardy warriors are needed to rigorously test them. Do you have the mettle to accept the challenge?

Players who already have access to the beta can download the new clients from the Battle.net account management page. Once you have installed your chosen game, let the demon slaughter begin. But be aware – we want your feedback! Any comments you have on these clients should be made on the Beta Feedback forums and would be very much appreciated.

yes. The number of affixes on rares and champs steadily increases at higher levels. (Source)

Generally yes. Some powers can be modified or altered very easily such that they might look new, but aren't actually. (Source)

Was wondering if followers are still viable at Inferno Difficulty? My Templar 2.47 DPS with a 8 DPS weapon, Sorry that's 2.72 DPS with a 13.9 DPS weapon.
followers are not an awesome source of damage. They provide good tanking, buff, and debuff options. (Source)
