If you are lucky enough to be playing Diablo III, then you might want to consider getting Steel Series exclusive Diablo III headset that went on sale today. This headset boast a wide array of Diablo inspired looks from the D3 logo on the ear piece to pulsating red lights. It has a detachable microphone as well so you can talk to your friends while playing with them. While it is nice to look at, the sound quality is equally impressive. For $119.99, the Diablo III headset might just help make the eerie music and disturbing sound effects that much better. You can find the rest of the products description on Steel Series' site. You can also check out the rest of their Diablo III exclusive merchandise, like the "click ass" mouse here. A special thanks to sinke for finding this.
Featuring 50mm driver units that reproduce crystal clear sounds in high, low, and mid-range tones is at the core of what is creating an incredible Diablo® III audio experience. Whether it’s the ominously toned soundtrack, the approaching hiss of a Witch Doctor’s firebomb or the bloody rage of a Barbarian whirlwind, users will clearly hear the gut wrenching hurls and exploding innards of your enemies.
In other Blues, Blizzard has added a new mark for NPC's to help players know when their may be some important story-telling dialogue to hear from an NPC. This is a nice little addition, especially for those who want to spend most of their time hacking n' slashing but still want to know what and why it is their are doing so. A quick little glance will let you know that an NPC has something worth stopping to talk about.

The blue * above an NPC's head means they have a conversation that you have not listened to yet, or a new conversation that has just become available.
Finally, for those of you who love are familiar with Minecraft, you can check out verity's recreation of New Tristram in the block-styled game.
Ahhh there we go.

Bleh that video feels so old already.. There's so much stuff that can be improved and added! I have to get to it sometime soon.
Thanks Bliz, nice slap in the face.
Supposedly it's the best all around bang for your buck headset out there. People are saying it's durable and it gets the job done, and visually unlike most of what else is out there it doesn't make you look like a fool, so you can take it to lans, walk around the house listening to music etc with it and you're set. Admittedly all of my headsets have broken from stupid things in the past, like tugging on them in my sleep when they're on my shoulders or head, and an ear goes dead often, so durability, and not looking like a jackass are two important selling points for me. Comfort is another, and they're said to be plenty of that too.
If the sound quality is shit, I'd like to know what your suggestion is for a headset that isn't fuckin horrible so I can stack up some reviews and ratings for it because I'm about to be -$100 in the pocket for a headset one way or another, and I'd hate to make the wrong call.
I do however need headphones for my laptop when Im traveling. So I guess I have to buy something, D3 and Sibera will not cut it sorry to say.
They tend to get poor reviews because they are aimed at the treble section of the spectrum so are not good for music (so they say), but this makes them perfect for gaming where you are listening to that voice-over, or the foofootstep or clang of weapon on shield and not the bassy flavour of the latest dubstep collegde band (their so mainstream, i knew them before they were famous...).
