Very early this morning, Blizzard made a post from Mike Morhaime explaining that the D3 release date was going to be moved into "early 2012." We have a very simple question for you all, what do you think about this changing, after the amount of times they reiterated they were aiming for a 2011 release?
- Glad they're taking their time.
- Excited to have a longer Beta.
- Sucks having to wait.
- Release buggy, patch later (Microsoft!).
- Don't really care.
In our previous poll, we wanted to know what you thought about Paypal being Blizzard's cash distributor for the Auction House. I think you guys made it pretty clear that you expected this to happen, with 55% of the votes coming in on that choice.
With the Closed Beta officially beginning, we have plenty to talk about, as well as the item database going up on the D3 site, and a ton of class changes. If you missed the twenty-sixth episode, you can check it out here. Otherwise, the twenty-seventh episode covered the following topics:
- Closed Beta Begins
- Make The Most Of Your Beta
- Change, It's Only Natural
- Diablo 3 Has Officially Been Pushed Back

tl;dr Patience is a virtue.
We all know Blizzard isn't afraid of patching their games if there's a problem. They don't abandon their games as soon as release comes. They like to have customer loyalty. With that being said, I really don't have a problem with them releasing the game early and patching it later because they're going to do that anyways; buggy or not.
However, recently, we also all know that they had to change the entire demon hunter resource mechanics and skills because the feedback was definitely not what they were expecting. They thought they had made a really solid class and it turns out not a lot of people liked it. This might had been an eye opener for them. Also with that, the rune system also changed simply by people discussing their concerns. There are now also concerns about the items.
My guess is that they want to extend the beta and in a later date give more content so they really do release a game that is enjoyable, not cause it's bug free, but because just down right fun. I honestly did not expect them to push it back, but after seeing all these changes and complaints cause of the non-NDA, I was kind of expecting it. Still sucks for me though, cause I don't mind if D3 was a shitty release at first. I have faith they'll make it fun no matter what. Stock holders don't feel the same way though
If they feel they have to push the release a few months in order to deliver a product they feel satisfy our need, so be it. I'd rather that, than get a half finished product that would under no circumstance live up to the expectations that is Diablo 3.
Besides, this way I get to spend Christmas with my family instead of my computer

I want to leave this here in hopes that someone will inform the podcast guys that Wizards and Witchdoctors will not simply want to find the weapon with the highest base damage. Instead they will want to find the weapon with the highest DPS just like the other classes.
"Premature Release"
