What kind of Diablo III fansite would we be without kicking things off pre-Beta with some tools for you guys to use? A bad one! That in mind, we've just added a brand new tool to our arsenal. No longer will the Diablo II Skill Calculator and Diablo I Spellbook yearn for a sibling to take on the role as the Diablo III Skill Calculator! Our calculator allows you to select skills and passives, add runes where applicable, as well as sharing links to your builds. I do realize that Blizzard just released their own, but those of you that don't want to leave DiabloFans will now never need to! This is just the beginning, we've got some great plans in store for our Tools section, stay tuned...
In addition, please be sure to report any feedback, including bug reports and suggestions, to the board counterpart, the Diablo Tools Discussion forum.
EDIT: OK, Barb skills all fixed! Refresh if it's still showing the Wizard skills.
I don't understand why this is needed when the official website has exactly the samething?
It's not needed, it's cool to have. Not only that, but we started working on it over the weekend, prior to Blizzard releasing theirs, and this will eventually be rolled into a much more complex tool. Though, I said all of that in the post.
oh ps....are you guys living in australia? cause it says this was posted on the 16th...haha I have been to australia before and I felt like a time traveller...off topic but I was just wondering haha

Hey new the forums been a fan for a while Force and Sixen! This is great addition to the site! while obviously its similar to the d3 community site, could i request that you have a way for us to save our builds? Just an idea (not to take from another site) but there is a NWN 2 website that allows you to make builds save them in your own collection and then have the option for them to be shared and rated. Just an idea. Thanks for all you and Force do!!!

Eventually, yeah! I agree, the ability the save builds to our accounts would be awesome, :).

there's a typo in the Wizard spells too. Offsensive instead of Offensive.
A good reason to have this is it can be updated faster than the official one.
I remember with WoW the fan sites always had the latest patch changes in their calculators and it took forever for Blizzard to update the official one.
Sixen i hope you and your crew are up to keeping it updated.
Oh and it would be great if you could add some kinda feature to make it so we can make a signature of our build from that calculator.
I know at least one major advantage to having this on Dfans: If there is ever a need for some extra utility (who knows what that could be, the game isn't even in official beta yet), I'm sure with enough requests from the community, Diablofans can fix that right up.
I think DiabloFans.com will listen to the community a bit more than Blizzard does, they can revamp the tools to fit the community needs a bit faster/better.
I'm a little confused. I clicked on the picture that clearly is the 'bard' character, but he had only wizard abilities. =P
Also, after selecting a skill slot/rune slot/whatever, the box appears to the side for me to pick the skill/etc. On this box there is an 'x' presumable to close the box, however it isn't really clickable and does nothing.

Nice job though, looking forward to more features in the future.
I am just wondering, should I be seeing skills description by going over with my mouse?
When I click on choose a spell ( lvl 1 ). The pannel opens on the right, when I mouse over I don't see any description, normal?
Thank you .
