With the holiday season now behind us, we look ahead to the new year and all of the great possibilities with Diablo III. The community remains vigilant discussing and debating over every aspect of our anticipated game. In addition to this, the community has created a lot of their own content to help bide your time.
Guilds and Clubs
Still looking to renew your interest in Diablo II and need a sturdy guild to play with. Look no further than the Brotherhood of Destruction. Lead by our own Nektu, the guild remains strong and continues to hold events and play on a continual basis. If you are looking to join, just fill out the simple application.
If anyone else would like to start their own guild or club, please feel free to take advantage of the Guilds and Clubs forum.
Fan Art
Unfortunately, there has been no new additions to the Fan Art forum. If you have some drawings you would like to share or want to work on a new one and need some advice or critique, please feel free to upload your image and share it with the rest of us. You can learn how to post pictures here.
Anyone is also free to upload their Diablo Fan Art in our wiki on the
Fan Art page.
Fan Fiction
Our Fan Fiction forum has gotten a recent boost with three new stories in the work. Our first story comes from Belisarius taking the unique approach of telling the story from the Demon's point-of-view. The Fallen One starts off with a horde of fallen attacking a city.
Grumming the Shaman unleashed his burning ball at the glowing light in the high window just as the Human shaman's blue light grew to a crescendo and fizzled out in an arc towards where Tenerf, Grumming and a small group of Fallen were standing lighting up the surrounding grassland and revealing their location to the giant Human with the flaming hair who let out a bellowing war cry and charged towards the Fallen group, but not before Tenerf pushed Grumming aside and dived out of the way from the blue fizzling bolt that the human shaman had sent towards them.
The next story is my own that will follow a boy as his life leads him down the path of becoming a Demon Hunter. Retribution has begun with the young boy being victim to the merciless demons that roam Sanctuary.
The citizens of Tylaneous awoke from the awe as fear soon replaced it. These were no normal flames. An unknown force was at work, destroying their city and lives in the frigid night. Soon, the roar of the flames became masked by the screeching coming form the woods surrounding the town. Howls and cries filled the night air as the citizens became more frightened of these sounds then the fiery blaze running through their town.
Lastly, we have the hilarious work of Azriel in the Non-Diablo Fiction. With Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rent, we follow a grim morning of the character.
I verbally abuse myself, mostly to cope with the fact that everything I say is true, but also to make due with the fact that if I tell myself this in advance, if anyone does try to bring me down, they can't push me below the surface of the ocean of empathy I supply myself with every morning; I become invincible, one of the only powers I have.
If you have some fiction you would like to share with the rest of DFans, you can post your story in the Fan Fiction forums for all to read.
Roleplaying
A breath of life has been given to our Roleplaying forums as well. There are currently two RP's desperate to get off the ground. Irrational has started interest in his Quest for the Earth Stone RP and is looking for more interested players to join.
ullion is also trying to get some players for his RP based loosely upon characters from Heroes of Newerth.
If you are interested in joining either or both of these RP's, you can post on these threads expressing your interest.
Polls, games, contests and more...
Last community spotlight we started the second "Add a Caption" Contest, we saw the Barbarian surrounded by Dark Cultist. The winner for round 2 is Nekrodrac with his theme of no Barbarian trailer.
This also marks the beginning of round 3 where we find the Witch Doctor in the middle of a battle with some zombies.
If you would like to create your own poll, game, or contest any user is free to do so.

Don't forget that we also have a chat channel for DiabloFans to talk with each other in real time. Discussing the latest news or interests in Diablo, stop in and chat with some other people.
