Official Blizzard Quote:
Diablo: Work continues on various Act II dungeons and locations. A lot coming together at the same time.
Now, of course, this raises the question, just how much have they got done?
Thus far, we know that a boss encounter in Act II has been tested, this news came to us some time ago, so by now they should be wrapping that up.
Also, we know that a boss in Act II has had concept work done, and may soon be going into modelling. Whether these two bosses were the same, was never elaborated upon. I'm assuming that with the time elapsed between both were released, and the fact that concept work was done after testing had occured, that these are two separate bosses.
As for locations, we've been shown dungeons filled with claw vipers, and endless wastes full of zombies and the like. These dungeons were the main location in which the monk demonstration took place, as well as some in the sand wastes, or what are being called the Borderlands.
SO!
We've got bosses, and several locations. The rest has yet to surface, but from the sounds of it, we're going to be shown more of Act II quite soon.
ALSO!
Props to Scyberdragon for already having written up a significant post about the news about Act II, throw some rep at him if you get the chance.
Think of it as 'beautiful torture' ...
I remember some twitter post that goes something like this;
"We were play-testing a dungeon on Act II."
Adding those two news together would mean that they're polishing up Act II after receiving feedback of the play-testing. Which is not out of the ordinary.
And also, they're working at the game from different directions. Act III is probably nearly done in general. You know, layout, dungeons and all that. After all this it will get play-tested, it will be changed over and over again. And after a while it will get that "magic" Blizzard touch that they're satisfied with.
Yeah im wondering that to. Do they have other people working on the concepts of the other acts are does everyone just work on one act at a time.
WTF?!?
Are you like a Sears sales rep or something...?
Back on topic though, I do think that they do have team members working on all kinds of different sections of the game. But I'm surethey have a dedicated team on reworking parts that need updating or balance changes.
From what I understand the outside section will be fixed in place all the time, and it is the dungeons that will be randomized, and hence require more work?
