Official BlizzCast 5 Q&A Submissions
The Diablo III Community Manager Bashiok has invited DiabloFans.com and other fansites to gather questions for the upcoming BlizzCast Episode 5. Only a very few questions will be chosen. Make sure to throw your best shot. Submit your question as clear as possible.
The best questions will be forwarded to Blizzard next week. Good luck!
Make sure to watch BlizzCast Episode 4 when it is available. In the meantime, check out previous episodes of the Blizzard in-house podcast and transcripts at the BlizzCast website.
2. Will the Witch Doctor have a full tree of summoning skills, similar to the Necromancer and Druid, or just 1 or 2 minor skills like the mongrels? (I'm keeping hope alive for a full-on summoner class!)
3. What are the thoughts on potentially useless (and occassionally annoying) skills such as Horrify by the Witch Doctor? The Necromancer used Terror curse, and the Barbarian used Howl warcry in Diablo II; neither are ever used and often are quite annoying when used.

Second of all, give the art direction a rest. There is a strong opposition to the art style. End of discussion. All the petitions and campaigns are too much. Just leave your feedback and move on.
Will it be like in D2 where it was ran by items such as SOJs and than with RUNES. Trading economy.
Or will they make the switch to gold as the main source and auction houses?
You run and hide from zombies in diablo too... when you are low on health. lol.
Why so many selfish questions?
Why not truthful questions that could honestly be answered?
This is not intintionally mean toward any fellow D3 fan. But... shall we try a defferent approach?
It seems as though the questions asked are more of individual quiriosities then actual questions that could be answered by the D3 daveloping team.
We already know that the enviroment will be interactive... and that there will be new characters... yes... but...
The D3 can't...**gasp** are not positive about the new characters just yet...
can we stop with the new characters yet?
Shall we, focus more on the invoroment a little more?
It isn't a question per'say...
But, honestly... in terms of pc perfomance and all around gameplay!
What is the Enviroment and NPC interaction detail going to be like????
1. The presence of the corpses and blood of slain monsters adds a lot to the feel and immersion of Diablo. Why do corpses, blood, and the destroyed environment decay so quickly (in the gameplay trailer)? Are there plans to have at least an option that prevents decay, or an option to lengthen the time to decay?
2. Are the random adventures or random quests important to the main story or do some of them indirectly tie in to the main story or are they simply side quests that explore smaller stories that are not related to the main story. In other words, will we be able to experience the main story in its complete entirety, without having to rely on the chance of having to get certain random quests?
3. There are various concerns that the armor shown, especially the shoulder pads are disproportionately large compared to armor in Diablo II. Is this the size of armor to come or are there plans to lessen its exaggerated size?
4. Diablo II contained a good mixture of darker dungeon zones to brighter outdoor zones, is the plan to have a similar balance in variety of environments and colors in Diablo III?
5. From the gameplay trailer, there appears to be a faint light radius, which is far less dark than the light radius in the previous games. Are there plans to have a darker light radius or do you feel that the current less obstructive light radius is more suitable for Diablo III?
6. Will we see impaled/mutilated/tortured corpses in Diablo III?
Kinda cutting out the middle man... and the time it would take to drive home haha.
Well, you raise a good point: many of the questions asked obviously can't be answered yet (e.g. what are the rest of the classes, etc.).
But the problem is... you don't really provide the best question yourself as an example. I don't want to sound narcissistic but I thought that my questions were entirely answerable and yet also fed to the individual curiosities that I have had. Could you possibly provide some more of your own questions as examples that would perhaps be of more interest?
Thanks for your time!
Nice Suggestion =D
There is no weight in your argument. There is no correlation between vibrant colors and action-oriented game-play. Exaggerated shoulder-pads do not have more impact and do not express what is going on in the game at all. Diablo 2 was very gothic and dark, but the darkness did not obscure the action. I can go on and on and break down your arguments but I'll end it by saying that you are stupid. There is no weight in your arguments at all.
2. We, at Diablofans.com, noticed that on the DiabloIII website, the Artwork Trailer was removed. Why was that? Also when will the DiabloIII.com website be updated next, and how often do you plan on updating it? Monthly, bimonthly, biweekly?
3. Since the Witchdoctor has replaced the Necromancer in terms of gameplay, and since the Amazon is a female only character, that makes two Diablo II characters that were removed from the playable classes. Will you be replacing other Diablo II classes with new characters? If so, how many would you like to replace with new characters? And how many different character classes have you all brainstormed over?
(Ugh that one was a 3 part question. That probably won't fly well with them. :()
Oh, and of course:
4. Since the Diablo fanbase is in an uproar about certain aspects of the graphics, namely the contrast levels, shoulderpads, rainbows, and the cute lion statue. What are your opinions on these concerns, and do you have any plans for remedying one or all of them?
I think the first question is viable, and I'm sure tons of fans will be itching to hear the answer. I'll probably come up with more before the week is out.
1.) In reference to the dungeon they showed off (Forgotten Tombs) in the gameplay video; are the dungeon maps going to be linear like it was in the video? was this just for the sake of showing off the game play and was rigged to be a one way dungeon? i am hoping we see multiple paths going in different directions, as there was in previous diablos
2.) Blizzard showed off many different skills in the video, and i noticed there was a box that expands when you get more skills (the skill selection box for the hotbar). So this does not give any inclination as to how many skills there are per character. How many skills are there going to be per character?
3.) I noticed that there are different level caps for different skills, such as whirlwind being 20, wall of zombies 5, and so on. How many skills are going to be capped at 1, 5, 10, and 20 for each character?
A link for those of you whom may not remember some of the aforementioned items.
