Diablo 3 Items and Inventory
Kazo: "I watched the gameplay video again and took some pictures from moments when the items and skill descriptions are visible. Some new type of items that dropped from Diablo3 monsters in the video:
- Minor Lethality Rune
- Minor Power Rune
- Ancient Medallion
- Minor Energy Rune
- Chipped Star Topaz - New "star" variant
- Elixir of Vitality I
- Elixir of Willpower I
INVENTORY
Blizzard said they have plans for making the inventory much better.
In the video we can see room for 30 items. It seems each item will have it's own reserved space with no size variations, similar to the bag system of World of Warcraft. The Barbarian, however, has only 12 item spaces "active" or "available", other 18 being "grayed out". This means characters in D3 will be able to carry variable sizes of bags. If you look at the bottom of the inventory space, there are 4 grayed out slots for bags, similar to World of Warcraft. The icon for these bags is the same as the main inventory screen icon.

I agree that mantaining part of what made diablo, diablo is important. But I dont believe that an inventory system is nessarilarly one of those things that are so crucial to the gameplay that it would matter to me on if I played this game.
I like the attacks per second stat in general over the Very Slow - Very Fast. Gives Blizzard a lot more room for variability in its items.
Actually you are wrong there. Rare items in d2 have the potential to be better then most uniques stat wise. You just have to have the right mods given and it is indeed "Rare" to find one of these super rares
sometimes this spawns with a plus 3 to ele skills and 3 to nado for a total of 6 to nado
Here it is i found it
Just to show a few
and then:
good idea. change the homepage of dfans.com a little, guys.
Q: With the loot system in Diablo II, the player with the fastest connection often got the loot. Will this change?
A: We're changing the drop system. Monsters will drop multiple items, each player will see loot generated for them.

It wasn't always that way you know
I agree with you hear Jackzor, World of Warcraft has OBVIOUSLY taken a lot of advice from the diablo games and I dont think Diablo using WoW to make it that much better is any worse. I think the new inventory system will work well for this game and I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
Anyways great find Kazo, glad somebody can do all that tedious compiling
I don't really care about the inventory too much.
Yeah but I'm sure they will give some items the ability to stack
Edit: Actually... they already HAVE given the items the ability to stack... check the screenshots!
Yeah means that different info will be sent to each player's computer. Only you will be able to see and pick up your loot.
Yeah that would be rather wierd... I personally would like to see thier drops, and be restricted from picking them up than seeing them running around the screen like a freak >_<
I see it being something like the drop system in guildwars. You can see all the drops but the drops that aren't yours are grey'd out a bit and if I'm correct the drops that are yours have a little sparkle around them so you'll notice them better. If you leave an item on the ground for a few minuets without picking it up then the item will go to group loot where anyone that wants it can pick it up. ...just a guess.
Yeah making a port just to sell loot was a bit annoying, when you just wanna run around kicking some demon ass lol
