Diablo 3 News Watch
The goal of this thread is to put the rapidly growing amount of news and rumors that are building up around Diablo 3 possibly being announced at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational.
Re: Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational
Last year Blizzard announced Starcraft 2, this year many rumours are floating around that a Diablo 3 announcement is going to take place.
It would make sense to use this event to announce what millions of fans have been waiting for.
Also, i would like to point out that June 29th is the Diablo 2 release date anniversary. What a perfect day to announce the next Diablo.
Re: Blizzard Job openings
There is a large assortment of job postings for some "Top Secret" game. Many of the postings begin with this "The team behind Diablo I and II is looking for a". It's obvious that they are working on another game, and hopefully the team behind Diablo I and II are working on III lol.

More to come...
Not because it's so dark and secretive, but because Blizzard wants to keep a good name when it comes to completing games they've announced.
Do you remember the reaction people had when Blizzard cancelled WarCraft: Adventures? People went into commas, I swear. It's probably why BLizzard won't publically denounce StarCraft: Ghost. 'Cus if they did, even if they eventually came back to it, people would start saying things like, "Blizzard is such a flake, I wonder what game they're going to not come out with next."
So by keeping it under wraps they don't have to make those kinds of retractrations or be in the awkward situation they are in with StarCraft: Ghost.
After I saw all the games Blizzard had officially cancelled I was glad they didn't announce all of them. I probably wouldn't be waiting/drooling over news about another Diablo game, just because I couldn't be sure whether or not it was actually going to make it into production. But now, if they do announce D3, I can be anxiously awaiting it's release without too big a fear of cancelling.
...Wow, that was a mouthfull... I'm off to bed.
*subject to editing upon awakening*
Yes, that was quite a mouthful. I guess you're used to that kind of thing....
Don't judge ;). Sounds to me like you're jealous.
Surprisingly, most of what I said makes sense (to me). Only because I was tired, and I was just about to rip my hair trying to remember the syntax string to make my C# button print me out a triangle...

Also, I just saw a picture of Dungion Siege on some Asian site that someone was trying to pass off as Diablo 3. It was from 2003 but it made me laugh. Good game though.
...And this. ;-)
Hey, I'm not the one "experiencing" her...
Diablo1, Diablo2, Diablo2: LOD
There will be an opening of a trailer of approximately 52 seconds long.
Then there will be a short speech by Michael Morhaime and an ex-Blizzard North employee. We can only guess who..
I guess I may have spoiled everything for you guys.
Now there are no secrets.
Never get a job working at Activision.
I guess the above post is the downside to new members. Some think they are employees.
Bad troll is bad!
Lol, I didn't notice that at first. Haha, biggest giveaway. I bet whoever wrote that is going 'oh crap' lol.
They probably copied and pasted the same thing on multiple forums.
and what the hell, 'working at Activision'? yeha, because a little activision drone hears important information when news reporters with real connections don't hear anything? ...
everything about that post is wrong (except the important blizzard guy part)
its also wrong that he seemed to be talking friendly at the end, as if he knows us, but he doesn't know us at all. its his first freaking post.
I'll get the tar, you get the feathers. and someone else get a freaking guillotine.
HAHA! Maybe the ex-Blizzard North employee was one that never left Blizzard and stayed in the merged offices.
At least you tried
