Not to sound snarky, but this is Diablo. It's supposed to get out of hand with ridiculous power. One of my pet peeves is hearing people constantly pine for more balance just due to the presence of leaderboards, but Diablo has never been about balance. Rather, it has always been grossly strong items an obscene, vulgar display of power.

krathoz posted a message on Qustions about bots, Acient Items and season 2.why do you care? honestly i don't give two fucks about who tops the ladder or if they bot or they play legit.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
If you have friends play with them, have fun, play while skyping and talk to eachother, be happy.
If you play alone well, you can skip parties, you can get into a legit clan or just play by yourself.
Nevertheless, the chances of you being top ladder in any category are less than 0.01% (and this isn't a mock)
If you play the game regulary you're gonna find the ancient gear eventually, maybe not the best rolls, maybe not worth the slot but still you're gonna find them, as you said, get hyped and grind till you don't feel the need of doing it, then try to achieve high tiers Grifts
PS: i haven't been playing actually, tryed a few hours of 2.1.2 and found a few ancient legends, i'm trying to save the hype for the start of the season 2. -

Bagstone posted a message on Bane of the powerful gemThere are a couple of reasons why people don't use it in Greater Rifts:Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
1) When you don't kill an elite fast enough before the buff runs out, you won't have the buff itself, reducing its use from 35% damage to 15% damage increase. In particular for Rift Guardian fights that last longer than 1-1.5 minutes (which is usually the case) you will only have the secondary buff for the remainder of the fight.
2) There are usually 3 better gems; for monks the Taeguk is an often mentioned choice as gem #3 (after Gogok and Mirinae, which are no-brainers). Even if you don't keep Taeguk up all the time, it will quickly ramp up in a fight and surpass a Powerful gem at 40 stacks (non-elites) or 70 stacks (elites). Now, if you have a rift that has bad density (cave map) your Taeguk might run out quite often - but in the same rift your Powerful is likely to run out as well. However, for the "high rankings" you need a good rift anyways, and in such a rift a Taeguk might be better as you can pick your fights - as opposed to a Powerful, which forces you to kill another elite in a few seconds or lose the buff. And especially for the Rift Guardian Taeguk might be much better if it's a long fight. You can even back off a bit and hit the Mantra button every ~2 seconds to avoid losing the buff; for Powerful it's just "kill him in ~80 seconds or finish him with 20% less damage". -

Dorakrab posted a message on HC Death - The most unfair ever?! :D GR44ok imagine if you survived that and got to a higher rift and survive in similar situation, but at some point when you get to grift 50+ or 60+ or whatever, you will die from 1 shot, there is nothing you can do about it you cant except to go on forever and survive, even if Blizzard does tweak greater rifts more, otherwise the game would be just pointlessPosted in: Hardcore Discussion -

Stollz posted a message on Are you okay with the changes in the price / value of the equipment sold by Kadala in the recent update?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
These drama-toppers are hilarious. Let me see, I bet you need about 162543 times to get the correct side of the USB in the slot?Quote from kendro1200In comparison I spent well over 50k shards before tonight and hadn't gotten anything. -

Shiroiro posted a message on Are you okay with the changes in the price / value of the equipment sold by Kadala in the recent update?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionIts CLOSE to impossible. Actually there is 0.0027% chance for not getting single leg after spending 2500 shards. Nuff to say that its 100 times less likely to happen than next leg gloves becoming taskers. Lol.
To douches above: you get more mats from rg so it stays the same. Chances for getting tnt from kadala are 1/3 higher. I hope I helped with your mental disability that doesnt allow you to read patch notes. -

Karon posted a message on Are you okay with the changes in the price / value of the equipment sold by Kadala in the recent update? This change was a buff, you can't argue against hard numbers too proof it. You have to spend less shards on average to get a legendary, but all you see is "OMG THEY INCREASED COSTS BLIZZARD FUUUUUUUUUU"Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
They also increased crafting mat dropps on rift bosses to compensate for the fewer items you get.

Was there a rend barb in your group? They are causing lag as bad or worse than WDs nowadays. It seem that not as many people know that rend is an issue also.
