The main reason I stopped playing last season was due to lag problems with my Carneval Dagger of darts build. It really ruined the game for me when several of us wanted to group. Is this going to be sorted out? Has anyone heard anything? Any input would be much appreciated.
I also think it is mind bogglingly absurd how useless gold is for the end game. The *only* reason I still collect it (in great amounts) is to earn experience when I'm farming for rift keys (Boon of Hoarder+Custarian wristguards+averice band=lots of free experience with minimal effort). But for gods sake Blizzard, give us something we can use all this gold for!!! Off the top of my head, why not allow us to pay Kadala to improve the odds when we gamble?!? That seems like a reasonable way to reward us for all the gold we have farmed..
or alternatively, why not allow us to pay the blacksmith to make modest upgrades to one specific stat on our existing gear? ie. same kind of rule as to when we reroll an item -we can only nominate one stat and we are locked into it nce we choose it. They could make the cost scale exponentially so that to pay to improve a stat to it's max limit would cost an enormous amount. I honestly think there are reasonable solutions to reducing RNG in the game without removing it entirely.

As far as 48 being a joke with sub par gear......maybe to some people....but it's the highest I've achieved for my skill level (which isn't very skilled!) My moment of self pity has left the building and I will continue playing a game that I love. Might check out the new POE beta though! Good luck to all and I'll stop crying...for now!
You have to remember most of the people saying this are being carried by zdps, not soloing
Look at some of their profiles, rocking 55+ but hasnt solo'd 40 yet

So you dont realy need ancient weapon to push top 10 ..
i know you wont be able to compete in the end of the season with a non ancient weapon, people might be doing 60 + on the Witch Doctor.
So i think you are doing somthing wrong ... 48 is a complete joke
anyways i guess we just have to keep farming for that ancient DoD
we still have a lot of time to grind this season

Awesome job Karib...obviously a hell more talented than I am lol. I'm getting too old for this crap. 46 years old and going to game until I die!! Would be nice if they implemented an ancient vendor. Turn in 5 normal weapons that you need and get an ancient one. Just food for thought. Love this game so much...can't stop now!!
I am currently paragon 601. Have farmed, grouped, traded everything I can do. Have pushed grift 48 solo. Cannot go any further due to RNG getting an ancient weapon. Not only is it practically impossible to get a ceremonial knife, but even harder to get a dagger of darts. And then god forbid I get an ancient one. I run a buddy through a rift just starting out. he is paragon 2. He gets an ancient mind blowing Serpent's sparker. Very happy for him. Want to go further but can't. Getting tired. Have 3 billion gold to spend on nothing. The grind continues...
You should be able to roll for ceremonial knives only or bows only or barb weapons only. The price and range is to high and vast to roll for just 1 handers.
SMK isn't the problem for me...I've gotten 3 of those. It's the dagger of darts which doesn't like to drop. Also a starter set for WD is craftable and then combined with Blackthornes you can build a pretty good starter set. But as everyone says it's RNG...just have to keep on keeping on and sooner or later I'll get some love.
Yah...I'll keep on grinding. Really like what they did to WD...but the lag if you have another in the group sometimes stops you from doing higher Grifts as well.
Ceremonial Knife DR is way too low, and then to get the ancient one you need to go further into Grifts is nearly impossible to get. I'm 550 paragon in season and hardly ever see them drop. I'm only able to do a 46 atm...could go a little higher if the rift was a good one....but not much higher. Gambling doesn't seem to be that great either. The grind continues....

Dagger of Darts seems to be rarer than SMK....almost para 600 and still no ancient.
