Just built this a little while ago and thought I would share. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the passive Paralysis had been bugged prior to this patch? Well, it isn't anymore:P
I recently found a Storm Crow with +15% damage to lightning skills, and the Dovu Energy Trap amulet that makes stun effects last 50% longer. The synergy there with Paralysis is just awesome. It's a melee-range build as opposed to a kiting or ranged one, and it is performing on Master really well. I'm enjoying this build a lot and just wanted to share it with you guys.
So, been messing around on the PTR for a bit and came up with a pretty awesome full Arcane build. I was absolutely loving it, using my old CM gear I had from live, and it worked out really well.
The fast attack speed (the old 2.74 breakpoint) allowed me to hit pretty quickly with Spectral Blades, and between the 18 APoC I still have from the old gear plus the 5 AP on hit from Syphoning Blade, I was able to have a nearly limitless supply of Arcane Power, thereby essentially having infinite meteors. It was an awesome build! Until...
So, farming on the PTR, and I find an Azurewrath. The thing makes me want to re-do my ENTIRE build. So I decided to try a Frost Wizard, and man is it a lot of fun! It really speaks volumes when finding one item makes you want to respec the entire build around it. Anyway, the way it works is fairly straightforward, I'm constantly freezing/slowing everything, with a pretty infinite meteor supply on this one as well. GG itemization.
Enjoy guys! Anything you would recommend for me? Hopefully I find some Magefist gloves soon, and I'll give a Fire Wizard a go...
Info: I'm a relatively new streamer, playing vanilla Diablo 3 now (no beta yet sadly), but will play RoS like mad if I get into closed beta, and a ton for sure when it's released. Can't wait! I have a paragon level 100 Wizard, and also leveling my Demon Hunter as well. I'm planning on leveling up Paragon in Hardcore too Right now I'm going back and forth between D3 and Hearthstone. I appreciate the add if you would be so kind! Thanks in advance!
Also, excellent upgrade for the site, thank you Molster/overneathe/everyone else at DFans for making this such an awesome community.
Been a while since I played The Hell (blame Hearthstone lol) but since we had maintenance this morning, I went back to it for a bit, and recorded a few more videos. I've also recently started streaming, so these videos not only have my voice, but an overlay of my webcam as well. Check the playlist link in the first post or click the link in my signature go check them out! The latest videos are at the bottom. Thanks all
I remember when players on Hardcore who were hit with a DOT skill in the Scorched Chapel (like Rend, for example) and would leave the Scorched Chapel with the DOT still active, would die outside of the PVP arena and be permanently dead.
Thanks for this list! Really helpful to reference them by each character, as someone else has already stated. Thank you for taking the time to put this together! +1
I remember when - way back in the early days of development - the Witch Doctor was able to individually buff his/her pets by attacking them with certain skills. See video below at the 12:24 mark.
Actually, it's worth it to watch this whole video in its entirety. Some pretty cool stuff in here! This was from back in 2008.
I just wanted to make a quick post thanking Blizzard for allowing this thread to be featured on the main site as this week's Community Commentary! Also, thank you all, the DFans community, for making this thread so popular, and keeping it so alive and positive! I can't explain the joy I felt when I woke up yesterday morning, checked Diablofans.com, and saw the news feed of the Community Commentary being this very thread :Thumbs Up:
It couldn't have been possible without everyone contributing such awesome memories, and I hope they keep coming! So many great ones so far, and I'm sure there is so much more to come!
I remember how exited I was after my first legendary drop. And I also remember the huge disappointment 5 seconds after.
Who changed "disappointment" in my post ...
Not cool. Invasion of privacy stuff here.
Did that really happen? If so, gotta agree with Indimix on this one.
No, it did not happen, even if admins change a post you see an edit line at the bottom. Besides, I read his post a minute after he posted it last night and it hasn't change since. No idea what he's talking about, but 1) let's not derail this thread and 2) let's not make up conspiracy theories about censorship here.
Thanks, Bagstone. +1
Back on topic, I remember when people would copy their un-IDs onto the 1.0.5 PTR, identify them there, and then come back to the live server and know what they were before identifying.

Blizzard did a great job fixing that up quickly though, thankfully!
