Im an ex hard core D2 player, Im a little older now but as hardcore but still above social. Was playing Hardcore Season 3 then vacation to the Bahamas and a shit load of work took me out of the game for 2 months. Started playing again and hit a lag spike and my beloved HC Monk is no more. I really want to get back into D3, but I see 2.4 is in PTR now so a new season is around the corner.

How long has2.4 been in PTR?

Should I start a new seasonal (HC or SC) or just wait.

A lot of my uncertainess comes from not knowing how long until next ladder. Im also shying away from HC as the DFans clan has hardly any HC players as Goldy and Impluse have left sometime after I took a break.

Saying it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean its doesn't happen to others. I've had some small issues, not sure if they are Blizz or Time Warner Shit Cable, but nothing unplayable.

The OPs anger should be definitely be taken to the official forums as complaining about server performance in a fansite is pretty useless

I agree with this somewhat. And a lot of the comments in this thread seem to prove this.

I'm not a big DH/Wiz player, so I can't help you out with those.

I myself will probably do both S4 HC to start then one or the other will tickle my fancy and I will probably play that full time. I havent played either since game launch and then Crusader launch.

The patch was opposite. I guess they want everybody to get it for "Friday Night" and the upcoming weeked. For me it sucks Blizz is a West Coast company, 9 pm start time sucks moose balls on the east coast

After spending the past year playing on and off and in an empty clan it was refreshing to get invited to <Dfans> and after several days of being in an active full group I noticed a few things regarding class selection.

With the end of Season 3 and more importantly the begining of feature filled Patch 2.3 there has been a lot of action on the leaderboards. Being in a full clan I have witnessed maybe 100 or more personal leaderboard bests being set.

What I have noticed is without fail every single one that Ive noticed has been either a Monk, a Barb, a Witch Dr and maybe a sparse few Demon Hunters.

Do people generally not play Crusaders, Wizards and Demon Hunters?

I ask this as I plan on playing primarily Seasons coming up and sometimes I try to be different. Im definitely playing a Monk, and I as I browse forums and other stuff the lack of those other 3 classes never being called out kept creeping into my mind. Would playing a Crusader be a huge handicap for me? Im not big on making the leaderboards and stuff but would people say shit hes on a crusader lets not take him for these 3 mans or for most players does class make up not really matter, its more about fun, loot, and killing shit?

Yeah I noticed they aren't for damage. Haven't really specifically geared one like you described. Definitely something to really pay attention to as I make a serious run in S4 HC

Not sure what they are called in D3, always think of D2 and refer to them as Mercs.

In D2 there was some definite correct choices when it came to Merc as an Act 2 merc with a specifc RW for your light sorc etc.

What about D3? I pretty much only use the Act 1 guy for heals and resource regen, is that what is generally used in HC? Im sure there are builds that could use other hirelings, but in general does everybody use the meat shield?

Thanks all, I have applied to <Dfans>, those of you who have asked, no I dont have any leveling groups. Really looking forward to the new season, next Friday is sooooo far away. Going to be really active too, Im done trying MMOs, ever since Lotro tore my heart out Ive been dabbling in others and they just dont cut it.

Definitely looking to join dfans clan. Will be playing season 4 HC mostly but not exclusively. I should probably dump my old clan as Im the only member
