posted a message on Allrounder build
I was experimenting a lot last week with diff builds, however when you hit T4+ you feel squishy on elite packs(most of time elemental damage was the huge issue(fire chains-thunderstorm-waller/jailer + decerate/poison..etc).The build I use now needs gear with health globe bonus or life per spirit spent or both(depends what you can get from new gear or legacy gear).Build focus on moderate damage and high self healing/mitigation, also very easy to change 1 or 2 skills depend on torment level/play style . I'm currently running T4 very comfortable(not skipping anything, killing all elites/champions/bosses).Here is my profile with build I use at the moment :http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Hamda-1196/hero/18683873

My ingame stats are:97k HP,990 all resist with mantra of healing (time of need rune), 147k damage, 1.3 million toughness, 36k healing, 480 life per spirit spent (thanks to new inna's 2 set bonus(weapon and belt)) and 36k health globe bonus.Build also focuses on CD reduction (paragon offensive tree + beacon of Y'tar passive and 1 or more pieces of gear with CD reduction (I have close to 32% CD reduction)) to lower CD on seven sided strike as main damage ability (in particular on elites) and to lower CD on inner sanctuary for defence (55% damage reduction) and offence (forbidden palace does 30% extra damage to mobs in sanctuary radius (perfect to use seven sided strike after casting sanctuary). As spirit builder I use crippling wave-rising tide (good spirit build up on big group of mobs+ lowering attack speed and movement of mobs) and SW-inner storm for extra spirit + constant damage around you. For big group of mobs you use inner sanctuary+cyclone strike-sunburst to melt them down and seven sided strike. For elites is nearly same, just more choices here depends what affix they have .If you hit on bad pack (fire chains+thunderstorm/decorate/poison..etc) you can use inner sanctuary +7sided strike as main damage and damage reduction from inner sanctuary (inner sanctuary last 6 sec) ,but when inner sanctuary expires you end up with healing only from LpSS or health globes if they are around. That's when mantra of healing comes really handy :20% all resist + if you cast mantra you get 9554 shield + 15% of health globe bonus on gear and you can cast it as many times you want (so long you have spirit) and you can use it as good survival combined with LpSS until inner sanctuary comes of CD. On seven sided strike I use rune to lower Cd to 17 sec (sustained attack rune) and always inner sanctuary and seven sided strike come from Cd at same time (also note that SW ,seven sided strike and crippling wave are physical damage, so if you manage to get some gear with +physical damage will be huge plus for dps). For passive I use: seize the initiative (for extra armor-huge boost for toughness), Transendence is must for self healing (health globe bonus increase healing per spirit spent, just to note) and beacon of y'tar for CD reduction. For lower torment level you can swap mantra for more damage, but for high torment level mantra of healing is massive boost for survavibility. Lately I was tossing to completely get rid of SW and grab blinding light for 29% extra damage combined with inner sanctuary+seven sided strike for massive damage boost considering I have 31% CD reduction or even get LTK-scorpion sting for more damage/stuns while other skills are on CD. Lot of options here to change 1-2 skills.I hope somebody will find this build usefull, only downtown is: build needs some life per spirit spent or health globe bonus (lot of this on legacy gear, easy to find for cheap on AH while is still there), also shen'long set(weapons) is decent with LpSS and life on hit (only reason I use 2hander is 2 set bonus for time being).Forgot to mention paragon skill trees: core stats you can use dex or vitality (depends which one you need more with current gear (you wanna aim for 80-90k HP), offensive tree:everything on CD reduction, defensive tree:all resist all the way,Utility tree:spirit cost reduction (you want to cast skills as soon as you can, less cost-more casts).

I use similar build to shinna for solo play.I recently got inna's reach (weapon) as 2nd piece of new inna's set and using it for 2 set bonus(massive life per spirit spent),but found also that shenlong set as weapons are working well too(life on hit and life per spirit spent on weapons).I also focused on health globe bonus(had to loose some dps in terms of switching gear, health globe bonus will increase healing from life per spirit spent by massive amount,at the moment I have 66k health globe bonus and 580 life per spirit spent).I also found playing solo on T6 is hard, mostly due to lack of vitality and all resist on gear,if you hit hard pack(bad affixes) you will die couple times until you get them down, hopefully diamond gems will drop faster to get some pieces in gear soon. Here is my profile:http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Hamda-1196/hero/18683873
I use mantra of healing for extra all resist for higher torment(4-6),exploding palm-essence burn is awesome for big packs of white mobs and stuns from wave of light keep most mobs stunned all the time with crit chance close to 50%.Hopefully will get soon 2 more pieces for new 4 set bonus of new inna's set(got weapon and belt for now).MY ingame stats are:150K DPS,over 900k thougness,46k healing and 900 all resist with mantra of healing.

Most damage on bells you will get from 2hander(skorn or very rare to find rare 2handed axe better then skorn ),but with 2hander setup you have choice to go druin's TR/bell Mp10 build(need decent damage mitigation/all resist) or go for TR/Bell stun build(high HP/high crit hit chance, mostly suited for solo play)if you wanna go MP10. WKL is only good for %damage on lightning skills(SW-cyclone and fist of thunder-thunderclap),and you want 24-25% as optimal. If you have budget you can increase SW damage even further with inna's radiance(up to 14% damage increase on SW),mara's kaleodoscope is amulet with up to +12% SW damage(gonna have decent crit hit chance and crit damage too,but expensive),also SoJ with up to +12% or skull grasp with up to 12%(must have crit hit chance with it). This is just more option to boost SW damage even more if you have WKL(in particular if you use cookie cuter build).

I run skorn bell stun build with my 2nd monk(TR is optional,I found it good to move from pack to pack, same with passives(2 of them for spirit regen)).So far from 0-83 with same build farming act2:vault of assassin to get 5 stacks and some DE then to oasis and literally clear everything there, every event/dungeon for max exp. Here is my profile:http://d3up.com/b/1035030 ,also have choice for fleet footed passive and mantra of healing for infinite TR(fast essence farming in vault of assassin, only killing elites on MP6-7).I also have other monk, but didn't played him in a while(still have skorn equipped too):http://d3up.com/b/1063984#gear,also can handle Mp10 with ease.

posted a message on Alternative TR/Bell build (budget build and can be used to farm higher MP's too)
There is lot of different TR/Bell builds around, best guide for basics and diff builds can be found at http://us.battle.net...opic/7199912895.Druin did great job there.

The build I will write about today is just 1 more alternative 2hander build that focuses on high crit chance and high HP(around 50k Hp will be good start),also very low all resist and attack speed(common for 2hander TR/bell build) which makes it decent budget build(all resist gear is very expensive)

The build focus is on stuns from bells(wave of light-blinding light rune),reason you need high crit chance.Because of low all resist and low attack speed you need decent HP pool(around 50k is good start) and decent self-healing.
Hier is my profile:http://d3up.com/b/1035030#gear,you can see the build and mediocore set of gear,in case I use diff build ,hier is link for build http://us.battle.net...gSQe!Zcd!YZYYZY
I use fleet footed passive for fast essence farming(usually farm on MP8),but for fresh level 60 monks(budget build) I would use STI instead for extra armor(I found STI much better then OWE)and more survivability .

Gear wise there is couple must have pieces:Inna's radiance with spirit regen and life per spirit spent (40-60 is optimal for self-healing),stone of jordan 20-30% bonus vs elites and 6-7% increased critical hit chance on wave of light(20-30% depends on budget),Skorn with Life steal and 2 pieces of natalya's set for 7% crit chance(ring and boots).also highly recommend using 4 piece of inna's set(helm, belt, pants and chest).

even with budget build you should have 50% crit chance on wave of light. All resist you will get from boots and shoulder(wile ward is good choice for budget build)+any other items(depends on budget),attack speed you get only from inna's pants and natalya's ring(8% on both for budget build).you need high HP,most of that comes from helm, shoulders, bracers, chest and gloves( and as much you can get from inna's pants and belt),for fresh lvl60 monks(budget gear) I would get some vitality on natalya's boots/ring (means low dex on boots,no crit chance on ring).to get high crit chance you need helm with 6% crit chance, amulet with 9-10% crit chance(and as much crit damage as you can afford),bracers 5-6%,gloves 8.5-10% and you get 1% from inna's pants and belt and you get 5% base crit chance. This should get you to 43-44% crit chance and +6-7% from stone of jordan will get your wave of light to 50+% crit chance).you don't need much spirit regen on inna's helm an stone of jordan(because of low attack speed),1.4-1.5 spirit regen is plenty.fully buffed(with templar and his inspire ability and mantra of healing you should have higher spirit regen then attack speed in ratio 10:1(I have 12.17 spirit regen and attack speed 1.18) to have enough spirit for infinite TR.Crit damage comes from amulet and skorn(and gloves if you can afford some on it) for budget build, this should bring you to 350-400+ crit damage with radiant star emerald in skorn.

Game play focuses on 2 spirit builders(fist of thunder and sweeping wind),so long you have enough spirit to cast bells(wave of light),which will be 70 spirit you need to cast it to get stuns rolling (and heal yourself with Life steal from skorn and life per spirit spent from helm),you can move with TR to avoid arcane beams, poison polls..etc and you have serenity as last resort to stay alive if needed.

I did some research on gold AH(america region) and this is what I found for budget gear:

    helm: Inna's radiance(139 dex,41 vitality,spirit regen 1.68,life per spirit spent 48,crit hit chance 6%)
    price:900k

    Shoulders: Vile Ward (198 dex,67 vitality,all resist 75)
    price: 1.1 m

Bracer: Rare bracer (91 dex,152 vitality,5.5% crit hit chance)
    price: 1.5 m

Gloves: rare gloves (55dex,153 vitality, crit hit chance 9.5%,crit hit damage 30%)
    Price: 2 m

    Chest: Inna's Vast Expanse(126 dex,153 vitality,12% life)
    Price: 4 m

    Pants: Inna's Temperance(94 dex,108 vitality,8% attack speed)
    Price: 5 m

    Belt: Inna's Favor (96dex,83 vitality)
    Price: 2 m

    Amulet: rare amulet(72 dex,44 vitality,crit hit chance 9%,crit hit damage 48%)
    Price: 1 m

    Boots: Natalya's bloody footprints (165dex,48 vitality,all resist 77)
    Price: 3.5m

    1st Ring: Natalya's Reflection(89 dex,86 vitality,8% attack speed(no crit chance,price goes to 15-20 m with it,optional with bigger budget))
    Price: 800k

2nd Ring: Stone of Jordan (5% fire damage, spirit regen 1.77,bonus vs Elites 25%,increase critical hit chance of wave of light 7%)
    Price: 5m

    Weapon: Skorn (1294 damage,312 dex,5.9% life steal,Crit hit damage 173%)
    Price: 8.8 m

Total price for full set of gear: 35.6 m

This set of gear should bring you to close to 50k HP(with amethyst-18%life in helm),51% crit hit chance of wave of light,401% crit hit damage(with radiant star emerald in skorn) and easy capable of doing MP4-5 fast farming.Any fresh monk would focus on crafting to upgrade gear(if on low budget) and this is perfect build for fast essence farming (vault of the assassin is perfect spot for it,just killing elites).
I know prices vary from region to region and also different prices on AH every day,but this should give new player/low budget players some guidance of what similar gear you can get for similar price(need to be patient sometimes) if you are looking for budget set of gear. With better gear and more damage/HP/all resist you can go higher MP then 5 with ease.

This is just another slightly diff build and set of gear needed for it,hope somebody will find it useful, mostly new/fresh lvl60 players or somebody willing to try something different.

posted a message on Complete fail at Monk - need help with everything!
I don't know if you like 2hander setup(skorn) with bell build(wave of light),easy to play and very efective, will let you go higher MP then 5.Basic is to have decent spirit regen:fist of thunder-quickening rune, sweeping wind-inner storm.2choices of rune for wave of light, empowered wave(40 spirit cost) or blinding light(3sec stun on crit, high crit chance is must for this one).if you have still problem to survive go with blinding light rune. Also inna's helm with life per spirit spent will help a lot with selfhealing(massive selfhealing).ultimate choice for helm and chest is mempo with 5-6% crit and inna's chest with high dex/vit,but hier you looking in bilions to spend, alternative choice is inna's helm and tal'rasha chest(much cheaper option with similar dps output).looking at your gear, amulet is your weakest point, need 8-10% crit chance and 60%+ crit damage, also try to get natalya's ring with crit chance too, bracers need some vitality and all resist(try to craft better one, don't take long to get decent roll).your best option is to get decent skorn with 1300-1400 dps with 180% crit damage and at least 5% life steal, inna's helm with LpSS+6% crit and at least 60+ all resist, tal'rasha chest with 70+dex and 230+ vitality(8% attack speed is much cheaper then 9%),change pants for one with 140+vitality.Your all resist comes with helm,shoulders,bracers,boots(4 pieces should get you 300 at least+if you can get resist of choice on belt, rings and amulet, with OWE should get you to 500 AR).you looking to get 500 AR,50k HP(if you can) and you can farm MP10 with bell build(also at least 180k dps, with skorn, better amulet and nat ring with crit chance, easy to achieve).hier is my profile:http://us.battle.net...6/hero/12975583
try my build, only change mystic ally for any other skill(probably good choice is breath of heaven for 15% damage buff),I use mystic ally for soloing uber run for kule/siegebreaker.another tip:use scoundrel as folower(3% crit chance extra) and give folower puzzle ring, free goblin every 15 min(drops most of time demonic essence).
