People won't drop a lot of gold for common gear that might be a side grade at best. I've got a stash load of gear that has great stats, but because they aren't the PERFECT item with the best possible rolls, people won't pay top dollar for it.
The best thing you can do if you don't know the market is, do a similiar search, find what others are going for and undercut them by at least 15%, if it doesn't sell, re-list it at an even lower price. I rinse and repeat that about 4-5 times and if it doesn't sell, it either gets vendored, posted in general chat for anyone who has best offer and if I still have it by then, It gets vendored or handed down to a friend. It's annoying but the market really is flooded with crap these days,
Everything you're ranting about is old news/arguments. The only fix they really need to make is either get rid of LS on belts for barbs, or make it accessible to every character.
Of course their is a huge list of minor things I could rant on about the Monk class (a lot of our abilities need fine tuning, mantra's especially) the LS on the belt is just a stupid imbalance that could easily be fixed.
Don't do it, I though the same thing awhile back and bought a shit ton of Brim, they are still sitting in my inventory and the prices keep falling. There are better ways to invest, plus if you want to sell to someone directly no one will buy from you because one of the biggest scams ever involved Brim. But i'm just going off my own experience, who knows you might make a good investment.
They are up in price from 10k a piece to over 100k currently, do you feel silly now?
Blizzard does have a plan for them soon, expect it
The gold beacon on the screen doesn't alert you enough? Do you use a small monitor? I'd suggest playing your music through a different source (speakers) and use a headset for in-game volume as there is no way as of right now to seperate game sounds
If you're having a hard time staying alive you need to A: reorganize your gear because your lacking resist/LS/LOH/HP or B, lower your monster power because your GEAR is not ready for that content. You want your avoidance to come from your gear that you wear, not from passives and talents/runes.

I realize my attack speed is very low, and also that I don't have any Life Steal, I went with a silly weapon proc.. I could also break my Inna's set for a witching hour belt but I love casting Sweeping Winds for almost no spirit cost.
