No need for a calculator... pretty easy to figure out 10% of your damage (3105-3638) would add 310.5 - 364.8 damage range. Rolling the damage can only possibly yield 306 if you got perfect. 10% would be a bigger gain. Also, you could consider 10% CDR for more leaping, or Life per Fury spent (increased effect on ancient items) for more survivability. Being HC, I'd probably go for the healing.
Doh, you reminded me that the IK weapon I'm replacing has 10% CDR which I really do not want to lose. I just recently switched out Leoric's Crown so that I could use these ancient Tasker's... that's still sort of an experiment. I don't want to lose 10% CDR from my weapon on top of losing the boost that Leo's gave...
I only have four gifts, so if it's even close I'd rather save them for something else... if there was going to be a remarkable difference it would be worth using one of them.
Would it be better to roll the socket to something else (10% dmg I presume) and then gift it, or to just try and maximize the weapon dmg and thus saving a gift. The max possible dmg is 2325, almost 300 above what it is currently.
Well it was only a matter of time before Blizzard released their own numbers. I'm just glad they finally put it out there. It's nice to see we were fairly close in our assesments using the boss data. Cheers, everyone
