Set a goal of just ONE legendary today and I wasnt going to eat until I got it. Been playing since my dog woke me up at 7am this morning to go outside. Still havent eaten. I will beat RNG eventually.

7-8 hours per day and paragon 25? Did you start last week?

You do realize Paragon didnt launch with the game right? Farmed for 15 hours today and havent gotten a single legendary or even an item to post on the AH. Guess I need to maybe up it to 20 hours a day. Im gonna beat RNG and make gold in this game if it kills me.

Playing a TR monk I usually just run through trash 1 shotting it all. So yea I wonder how many lvl 63s or rings, ammys or even legendaries I have missed because Blizzard refuses to add a real Legendary drop alert and bans anyone for using a good addon that does nothing but lets you know a Legendary dropped. I prefer to listen to music while I play games not have the game sound maxed out with no other noises in my house so maybe I can hear a legendary drop

You can't see a big lazer beam shooting up at the sky or the blip for about 5 seconds on your mini map? I run the same way and have never used sound in d3 yet have never had an issue spotting a legendary.

Either way even before they added the beams I realized missing legendaries is the price I might pay for speed running...

If they are going to force people to speed run because more drops means better chance at beating RNG and getting something good then they shoud have auto loot for rares. Id rather have to stop every 10 minutes to drop a few crappy ones than miss than one badass one cause I kept plowing.

    Edit:
By the way, I've found almost all of my legendaries from white trash mobs. Keeps 2 > all elite packs.

Are these bad for loot or something? Its the only thing I can do right now as I was on a budget to begin with. In around 20 minutes as a TR monk I can do:

    Core
    Tower 1
    Crater 2
    Rakkis Backwards
Field of Slaughter + Cave...people skip cave for some reason but its always 2-3 elites, usually a goblin, and a resplendant and they are small as hell.
Keep 3... fast and 2-3 elites
Keep 2 till I hit a dead end unless I have fleeting then i circle back and clear the map
Skycrown backwards... up to 5 elites plus goblins

So Im usually getting 2-3 resplendants and 3-4 goblins per run and a ton of elites and Im paragon 25 and havent gotten a SINGLE legendary thats been to auction. Hell havent even sold a rare for a million yet. Its gonna take me till Diablo 4 is released to get 400-500 mil in gear so I can start doing MP 4-5. I just dont know what Im doing wrong to get no loot.

How are people beating RNG and walking around with a billion in gold worth of gear. I started at releases but quit for a while so probably played for a total of 4 months since the game went live. In those 4 months I have probably made 100 million gold, 25 million of that is looted gold according to my stats, so at that rate it will take me 3 years to have a billion gold. Yet people did it in 3 months. I just dont understand. I am online every day for 7-8 hours. Is that not enough? Should I be farming 12-15 hours a day? Im putting in the effort so Im not like a bunch of whiney WoW crybabies that want free raid quality loot for no effort. But Im not seeing the rewards for it. Its like D3 is the total opposite of WoW. You work your ass off for nothing and in WoW loot is thrown at you and you never have to leave town. And they wonder why everyone quit.

1K DPS weapons with LS, open socket and crit are off the charts unless you wanna spend 200 mil you wont get one with 2.7% LS. Right now searhing for 850 average damage with open socket, crit, and 2.5 LS cheapest one is 330 mil. Even if you drop the crit damage and pick up Int instead cheapest is still 30 mil for 150+ int. Also the 15-18% bonus damage from Triumvirate makes it far better than scorn.

Been leveling up with MS ever since I got Fire at will and loved it. But what DPS do you need to just walk around and 1 shot trash on MP0? Havent made it to Act 3 yet but im sitting on 51% crit chance and 420% crit damage with my X-Bow. Also my DPS is around 115k. My x-bow doesnt have the best DPS in the world but I wasnt going to pass up a Manticore with 194 dex, 122 vit and 3% lifesteal that someome posted for only 2 mil. Sure its only got 1100 DPS but I think I got a pretty good deal and I couldnt have afforded a 1200 DPS double socketed one anyways. I could have got one with 100 more DPS with my budget but I think the extra vit and LS is worth a lot more than 100 DPS. I have +125 total avg damage on my rings and ammy anyways so I guess I made up that 100 DPS difference anyways.

OK so if I switch back to a X-Bow can is it still faster to use something like Multishot? I just hate elemental arrow:ball lightning its just too slow for my tastes.

I know theres tons of different guides around of what people claim is the "best" or "fastest" way to farm paragon exp or legendaries in low MP levels like 0-1. But obviously those guides are build according to their gear and what abilities they are using. I also saw a thread on the official forums debating the use of Windforce vs Manticore. Several responses actually favored either the Windforce or even a 1 Hander for speed farming low MP levels because of their higher attack speeds. Is there any truth behind that? I can only access this website for some reason so cant log onto officials to post my profile but I was wondering if their is some truth behind using a faster weapon for lower MP levels.

I know you get more crit from the Manticore because of the 50% from passive and also natural crit chance and double sockets. But the Windforce gives you more hatred regen and also some lifesteal which will help with reflect mobs in case you might be too low on Discipline to pop Shadow Power. But is the passive extra damage bonus from using a bow any good? Like I said I cant post my profile but I know my crit chance is 51% using scoundrel and my crit damage is 310%. Also I have 36% attack speed from my bow, quiver, and inna's legs along with 7 hatred regen using bat and also 24% movement speed. Would using something like Strafe or Multishot be my best bet for MP0-1 farming? I just dont like elemental arrow because its just so damn slow. Also would I be better off using bola or hungering with spray for my primary? I heard spray gets better with a very high crit and 50% seems pretty high to me. Also on low MPs I dont see myself using my hatred generator that often especially since I have hatred regen on 3 items plus Bat.

TLDR: For my setup with 51% crit, 310% CD, 36% IAS, and 7 hatred regen what would be my best skill setup for farming ACT 3 set to MP0-1 and using a Windfury? Im still fairly new to DHs and dont really know what to do just yet as I only hit 60 last night.

posted a message on What do you need to make TR build work?
So been watching vidoes of monks using tempest rush to farm Alk routes on MP0 and it looks like fun. But what does it take for it to work? All of my Monk's gear is sitting on my WD in my profile so if someone wants to critique it. Only thing not there is my Inna's with 145 dex, 70 vit, 6% crit chance and 2.48 spirit regen. Do I need a few more items with spirit regen? I have a Xeph amulet with 1.45 spirit regen but Id lose 7% crit chance and 57% crit damage and dont think thats worth it. Also I could get a Stone of Jordan but again I think I would lose too much DPS.

Is Templar+Chant of Resonance+Guardian's Path+Circular Breathing+Innerstorm along with the 2.48 from my Inna's Helm going to be enough to keep TR up most of the time?

2Hander/Cleave barbs are fun but they are also slow. What makes a WW barb so fast is that they can run and run and run. Where as a Cleave barb you are going to spend more time killing and moving on to the next group.

How slow are we talking? I dont wanna spend an hour just to do an Alkaizer run.

I just cant stand WW and tried it before on my first Barb. I just didnt like the way it played. About to level a new one as I didnt really like WD and just wondering if a 2H Cleave build is viable? Also by viable I dont mean "Yes, but it will take you 45 minutes to do an Alkaizer Run" I know it wont have the same speed as a WW Barb but I dont want to kill at a snail's pace either. But I would rather play something I enjoy and I just didnt enjoy WW so if a 2H build is slower than WW Im OK with that as long as it isnt way way slower. I keep trying to look at other Barb's for build ideas but like 99% of all profiles you click on are WW.

I just want to carry a big ass weapon and beat faces in. Not dance around like a sissy ballerina pooping out tornadoes.

posted a message on Best farming build for a returning player?
Quit for around 3-4 months and just came back and decided to make a new monk. Before I quit I sold all my gear on RMAH and with gold being so cheap I just bought 100 mil since the money was just collecting dust in my pay-pal account. Before I quit I tried Tempest Rush which seems to be the fastest way to farm now and hated it. Just wondering if 100 mil will be enough to be able to farm Act 3 at a decent rate. I read in many posts that Act 3 with MP0 is the best way to farm both loot and Paragon levels.
