damn dude, how are you getting 28 spirit/sec? i like that shield. i wear a SOJ with TR cc bonus on it. and that is a lot of gear swapping. lol i dont macro mine, just keep spamming the SW button. And the other tip i took away was the wkl with spirit regen. guess i never thought to look there. i think i sold one of those back in the day. lmao
so, i need a better xeph with some cc on it. a diff wkl with spirit regen, a diff SOJ with the SW dmg bonus, Inna's with SW dmg bonus. Maybe borrow my wiz's Withing hour.
Do those boots really help that much? cause i really like my Ice Climbers
I'm not sure how accurate it is, but there's Effective DPS on d3up.com just like Effective HP. You can activate the skills and passives that give you bonus and see how each item contributes to your dps and what your overall total effective dps is. I get up to 500k with Blinding Flash (just 3 seconds tho, but snapshotting SW is uber with this), but just 200k with my normal build.
I've been mislead by the tooltip of Blind + Faith, as it says +30% WEAPON damage, not just flat out 30% damage. With a strong dps weapon, Blinding Flash gives amazing DPS.
d3up.com seems fairly accurate to me. and its great how you can test out the skills to see what might do more for you
A nicely put together guide. I run a similar setup with the exception that I gear swap to take advantage of the sweeping wind mechanic. Basically I get the SW damage from a 1444 Skorn and gear with 585 CD then I swap to a gear set that includes a fist weapon with a shield. That set provides ~58 % Crit Chance.
Granted, Im using 15.1 spirit/sec (based on an attack speed of 1.51) but the damage output is insane. Ive got my spirit generation up to 14.9 so Im close and could get enough if I equipped a SoJ in my second set but I opt for a HF and a Leorics for the exp factor. I would link my builds but I guess I need 5 posts for that. Soon perhaps.

i've been doing this for my keyfarming/uber runs. And i was thinking of doing it for my TR paragon farming. i already have a soj and hf and i have plenty of other rings for crit dmg swap. my normal tr gear/skills gives me around 17 spirit regen, so maybe i need to try this out. My SW swap gear has like 532 crit dmg. But i need to figure out how to get that crit hit chance up on TR gear
i think all the people who could afford to buy your set have quit too......sad but true. soon it will be only the botters left, and probably me still trying to beat hardcore
i started a HC wiz tonight. hadnt played HC yet. I took her all the way thru Maghda with no problems. I may go back and try the Halls of Agony on a higher MP just to farm and help a couple friends get the checkpoints.
as far as farming, i would think the locations would be the same typical locations as SC. Just have be a lot more cautious.
i wouldnt have even close to 100% spirit nonstop with this build. (14.24 regen atm)
Also,u miss alot of movespeed without fleeted foot, why do u not use this?
- i would traded Dash with another
- u rly need exalted soul?
- cyclone i would trade for the 3 regen rune
nice to see other builds on TR,
seems there are many varities of it out there.
cheers !
depending on your attack speed, you probably have enough regen to stay full pretty much 100% of the time.
actually just looked up my character sheet on battle net. I have 12.22 spirt regen with MoH. and with guardians path that puts it up to 16.497 when using my skorn. thats probably a little much, but i wasnt running out. Maybe tomorrow i'll log on and run it with MoC to see what happens.
that means if i run with the Templar i have 18.476 spirit regen. thats a ton and i dont ever run out. i have the standard 1.08APS, so that much is an overkill. if i did my math correctly, if i change to MoC from MoH, it should be 13.94 spirit regen with the Templar and guardian's path. i believe that would be plenty.
edit#2
my math was wrong. the percentages of GP and the templar add together first to make it 1.47 * my current spirit regen. so with MoC its 9.14 before sweeping wind - inner storm and 12.14 after. so once SW is up, that should be enough. we'll see. my spirit regen when using MoH - circular breathing, templar, GP, and Inner storm would be 17.96, which is still overkill.

I just want some dps back.
