Honestly people need to take off their tin foil hats and ditch the negativity. If you're not interested and don't care to go the 2 hander route and alls you can do is find negative things to say about it then why bother coming to the thread? Are people so paranoid and delusional these days that they can't believe some people just want to be helpful and share something they have fun with and believe in?
Pretty sad. 2 Hander barbs are far from the majority so it's really nice to see what another 2 hander barb is doing to be sucessful within his own game play.
Gnarf just needs a hug or something. I've got a 1 yr old golden retriever pup that loves to give sloppy kisses if that will help.
This thread was intended to inspire more Barbs to consider using 2 handers. The fact the Op has a ton of gold invested into his gear is beside the point. You can still be viable as a 2 hand barb without sinking as much gold into your gear as the Op has. Now you probably won't be steam rolling near as hard but you can still be sucessful and have a blast doing it.
I havnt sank even a fraction of the gold the Op has into my gear and I steam roll act 2 as a 2 hander barb and the main thing holding me back in act 3 is resist. Mind you I can still get to ghom with 5 stacks it's just painful lol
Nice videos indeed! I enjoyed them a bunch. It's also nice to see some 2 hand barb love. I simply refused to give into the sword and board for act 2 and although gearing up as a 2 hander seemed tedious it has worked out for the best and has been rewarding. Now clearing act 2 and every pack I find along the way pretty easily. It's a blast still, even having fully cleared act 2 as many times as I have. Now if only my wife would stop stealing all my good caster drops for her wizzard I may could make some gold haha.
Made my way to Ghom in act 3 with 5 stacks the first night in there but hit a brick wall with him and did I mention how painful the packs were? lol Farming act 2 for now, waiting for the patch to hopefully make it a little more rewarding.
Going to try out your spec when I get around to going back to Act 3. Thanks for the videos and I agree with the others when saying You shouldnt stop with just these clips!
Hi there, I am using the same spec as you except I use Ground stomp with wrenching smash rune instead of Leap and I use tough as nails, pound of flesh and ruthless for passives. I also use a 2 hander instead of sword and board.
I had a really hard time in Act 2 until I got my health up to around 40 k. That seemed to make a huge difference. I clear act 2 from start to finish several times a day without much of a problem unless I make mistakes and I never skip packs.
My stats are the following.
Armor 6,018 unbuffed
Damage 33,862
Health 41,422
Resist to all With warcry 596-706
LoH None
I don't have a lot of experience with using a sword and board in act 2 (because I refused to give into it) so I really don't know what your damage numbers should look like, but I can say increasing your hp could help out a lot. Your resist numbers are more than enough.
Earlier in my Act 2 play time I found that I went over board with resist (had just over 600 without warcry). It really didn't help much because the fights were lasting too long because I lacked enough damage to make a real dent before I had to resume kiting while waiting on ignore pain to come off cooldown. Taking out 1 mob was easy enough with Wotb but I found myself with enraged packs before I could kill them all. Just something to think about.
I'm sure you'll find what works good for you and soon realize Act 2 isn't as bad as it first seemed.
I'm now farming act 2 hoping to get lucky with drops and make enough gold to get my resists up so that act 3 isnt so painful. Got to Ghom with 5 stacks but he proved impossible for now so I'll stick to act 2 for a while longer Haha!
