i liked your gold for pvp idea, i really think patch 1.1 will be a make or break patch for this game, a lot on blizz's shoulders for making a fun balanced pvp system

in addition i'd really like to see some sort of recognition, in pvp and in general, like the banner and an inspectable character of the realm's top pvp players, some sort of prestige or somthing, because right now, nobody really knows how hard you've worked on your character and how awsome u are but urself...

Without using the AH, there is some expectation about whats gonna drop next time you kill something, even if the result is that I got worse quality items, I think it worth it.

    What do you think?

isnt the expectation of getting a valuable item to sell just as good? i mean the facts are that only about 20% of good items that drop will benefit you, while with the auction house you raise that to a 100%...

if the rapid switching of gear and upgrades is what u miss, maybe you should try making a new hero, that way you could enjoy the item hunting personaly and try a different class...

bottom line is that i dont belive that inferno is possible without ah.

i feel exactly the same, i tried a few public games but it was always a "wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am" approach so far, with very little discussion about how different features of the game feel to their class.

in diablo 2 so much of the playability was public, i spent a lot of my time just helping low lvlers and giving free stuff, now thats difficult.

i also belive its a general "battle.net 2.0" problem, i've also noticed the loneliness in WoW, seems strange calling a game with 10.5 million active players lonely, but it is...
back in the day you needed to find a group for a dungeon at the main city, assemble the group, go to the instace togather, communicate about tactic... when i recently played again (slightly b4 d3 release) it was a game filled with 10.5 million ghosts, no body talks, nobody wants to quest togather, even instances have an automatic joining system (rings a bell) and their so easy nobody even talks to eachother...

yes there are advantages to this system, i dont belive any1 tried to find a public game for a quest and didnt find one... but in my opinion the disadvantages rise above... from "cow level" to "free items" games the public game system in d2 simpy worked, and its a shame that a multi-million player game feels like a single player played online...

i guess that rethical's suggestion is the best thing for us though, just need to keep trying to find the few people decent players out there...

anyway, you're more than welcome to add me as a friend Barak#2116!

Um thats becasue anyone with any decent skill or commitment to that game had DS completed months ago and are most likely not playing or playing very little. People doing dungeons and leveling at this point are more than likely newer players who are overwhelmed.

WOWs community is amazing its called your guild.

guilds is another feature that'll fit diablo wonderfully in my opinion, hope they'll add it eventually

well, your gear is pretty delicous, only thing you might wanna do is add some res, a lot of people dont realize that res armor and hp work best only when when combined (with 70k life, a small ammount like extra 50 on ur bracers will really boost your effective hp, [EHP calculator])...

i'd probably add some offensive passives just to boost your crit chance and damage, ruthless more than weapon master if u use a sword...

one last thing - i really feel you about the cookie cutter thing, if u want my advice - forget the ignore pain in favor of leap with iron impact - the def bonus is so significant it feels like ignore pain, lasts only 3 seconds instead of 5 but it has less than half the cooldown... and the mobility aspect is just a bonus (i see my friends drop like flies when a waller arcane shows up and im just leaping along happily...)

    omg d2 was perfect

    best response.

First, yay for first post after months of lurking.

Second - I also loved d2 like crazy! but there's somthing we all need to remember: d2 before LoD was very different... I dont know if all of you guys know this, but in classic d2 those sigon's you were talking about were The best items you could get on your max level (95 by the way) char...

I'm also sometimes disapointed with things in d3, but to this point - every patch was a significant improvmant and I hope they'll keep it up!
