If your hands are getting tired you should know that during the fight you can hold down Explosive Blast and Diamond Skin instead of mashing them and they'll go off asap.

The only one you need to mash is Frost Nova. So try setting your build up to acommodate that.

OMG that is so much better

Got some ice climbers and blackthornes pants for now, so prolly added >+100 to AR.

Trifecta rings are crazy expensive, as are Chantodos Wands with IAS.

    CC SC
non APoC OH, preferably with vit and 200+int
CC/IAS ammy or CC+CD if you get enough IAS on other pieces to reach breakpoint
OS chanto for 2.5 APS or IAS if you want to reach 2.73
    Trifecta ring over zuni
Ice Climbers with armor and vit over zuni boots
    BT pants over inna's

Some of those were already said but those are the main changes I'd make. Also SA over Reactive armor. With crystal shell hopefully you won't have too much survivability problems for now, but as you upgrade those pieces you'll want to keep an eye out for good defensive stats, particularly the pants and boots. AR+armor is the way I like to go with the pants, and vit+armor for the boots. Eventually you'll want to add armor and/or resists to other pieces, like chest and belt, maybe armor on ring since those tend to be much cheaper than AR.

    Thanx....CC SC?

I am trying out CM, got some cheap Chantodos/APoC gear.

I like this play style. Its a bit crazy, but a lot fun to see things sploding all around you.

I've read the guide; what's the easiest/cheapest way I can improve.

    http://us.battle.net...21/hero/4374449

I *think* my main deficiencies are LoH and Crit chance.

Also, what MP would my current stats be able to handle. I have been playing 4. Dying a bit more than in archon, but Im not used to CM yet. My hand keeps getting tired from all the mashing. :)

EDIT- I should say, most of the time I cruise threw everything. But every now and again, I die real fast. Not sure whats going on. Elites typically bow to me in about 10 seconds. I think what is happening is I am standing in fire/arcane sentry/poison and my WW is not hitting anything so I am not getting the constant refresh, but am not sure; its a bit hard to see with all the chaos. Also, I find its really hard to stay in place with the constant left button mashing, plus I pick up a lot of crap items because of all the clicking.

Would it make sense to do custom craft on chest? Specifically looking for all res.

In my opinion... no. You need an extremely lucky roll in addition to the fixed int stat: 3 sockets are pretty much mandatory, some vit, armor (you already have that on your chest) plus the allres. And even if you craft the "best possible chest", any decent Tal Rasha chest for a couple of million will eventually give you an upgrade (allres TRs are getting cheaper). You might say "I don't have a couple of million", but keep in mind that getting a chest that has good rolls requires quite some materials and crafting costs as well.

Amulets, on the other hand, are best in slot if you get lucky. A well crafted amulet might be an item you might wear for a couple of years.

    Thanx for your help.

Yeah, if you switch to higher MP levels, your Hellfire Ring might not be worth it anymore (same for the gem in your helmet). Here's a little website to see the relative XP gain in case you were wondering: http://d3xp.weebly.com/

How are my custom crafts on shoulders/bracers/gloves/ammy?

Your gloves are AMAZING. Trifecta plus allres? Stop crafting, you won't get any better.
Same for the bracers - allres, vit, armor, and max crit. Strength doesn't hurt either (48 armor).

Your shoulders and amulet are nice, too, and you'd spend some money trying to get an upgrade. But I think the best use for any Demonic Essences would be to try and get an amulet with crit chance. However, be prepared to craft a few hundred... :P

Well, if you're feeling too squishy you need to do something about that. But your belt has no allres, no armor, just 51 vitality and 8 life% - and the latter translate to roughly 72 vitality since your HP is not that high anyways. You could easily get these 123 vitality on other slots, but if you're really worried about dying too often you can always buy a belt with lots of EHP (vit, allres, armor, int). I was just thinking that your belt doesn't add that much EHP anyways, so it's an easy spot to upgrade for some more DPS.

Same applies for the weapon - if you feel that you can't survive without life steal, stick with it. But like I mentioned and you said, too - life steal weapons are just way too expensive, in particular right now just after the patch. But in my opinion the main reason why MP3 feels so difficult is your DPS. You're at 117k unbuffed DPS - I'd not recommend to go past MP1 or 2, and for these MPs your EHP is more than sufficient. If you increase your DPS, your life steal (from Blood Magic) will become more useful, and your kill speed will increase (and make life after kill a useful stat). I can't see how you can play efficiently on MP3.

You might want to get 2-3k more HP and maybe 100 more allres, but overall your EHP is okay for your target MP level. It's one of the rare cases where I would recommend to work on the DPS. Kill before you get killed ;-)

Wow, witching hours really did come down over the last few months. I just picked up 15k damage are some hitpoints to boot. To be clear, MP3 feels right; I want to move up to MP4 and am worried about being too squishy there. My Hellfire sucks; If I can get a good ring with some AR and maybe a little damage, I might be able to move up. The higher MP would cancel the xp loss, and Id get more gold/magic find to boot.

How are my custom crafts on shoulders/bracers/gloves/ammy?

    thanx for the replies.

Im currently doing MP3 with little difficulty. I worry that I am too squishy for higher MPs. Is it really worth it to get a wishing hour with no AR?

Also, with weapon, I can get a good echoing fury with no life steal; as soon as I add life steal the price becomes ridiculous. Antying I can afford with life steal is a massive damage reduction.

Thing is I worry that lifesteal is what is keeping me alive.

Been away for a few months. Last thing I was doing was crafting some custom items.

Given how the game has changed, where can I improve?

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/hvgotcodes-1121/hero/4374449

Also, where are the best farming routes now? I did basically all of act 1 this morning. Definitely felt like more monsters compared to what I remember, but no legendaries in half of PL 65.

posted a message on how will new items in 1.0.7 affect wiz builds?
If you go on higher MPs you can get rid of your ruby and/or Hellfire Ring btw, there was lots of maths recently, just as a summary: a Hellfire Ring yields about 5% bonus XP when playing MP10 in 1.07. At ~600% bonus XP the 27% don't really matter.

Yeah I don't understand this and would like a link. Lets say I have 50% MP bonus, and 35% ring bonus, plus half for follower ring (18%). I kill a monster worth 100 exp.

I would image I would get

    100 + 50 + 35 + 18 = 203

    XP.

I wouldn't see how higher MP would affect this, other than the 50% would be replaced with whatever other number. I guess if that number is large like 500%, then the calculation becomes

    100 + 500 + 35 + 18

and the 35 is a much smaller part of the whole.

If you don't need the survivability, an Andariel's Visage or Inna's pants should give you more dps. You should save up for a Witching Hour belt for sure.

Storm Armor is far superior to energy armor for farming imo. Glass cannon is a must too. I know it doesn't sound intuitive, but a significant increase in dps will give you much more survivability than some HP and AR/Armor. I run mp2-3 with 200+ dps, 450-500 RA, 3-4000 armor, and 30k ish hp.

Innas is definitely an option, but good ones are expensive, and I think my current pants are pretty good. I was using glass cannon, but it made me a lot more squishy. Witching hours are insanely expensive.

Besides gloves, you should also consider crafting amulets - your's is not really a top one (low average damage, no IAS/CD). As for other upgrades, what about a weapon with socket or at least some crit damage?

Builds aren't really going to change with standard gear stats alone.

Min/maxing gear varieties can change, if that's what you mean, but I don't see actual wizard builds changing (other than more Blizzard spamming now).

For your personal upgrades, if you want to craft, I agree with Bagstone, craft gloves first.

If you want to buy, get a different weapon, focusing primarily on crit damage and socket. Honestly, I'm glad I sold my life steal weapon before the patch hit, it's really not that necessary anymore—I've asked many wizards and most agree that they're getting by just fine now with Blood Magic alone.

The problem is socketed CD weapons are either really expensive or do a lot less damage.
