I've never had problem dashing past mobs to get to my target with any of my skills, walls are the only things that seem to block my movement and I can live with that.
I've never had a problem with my monk's mobility and I don't really care what a barb can do.

My only only problem is something when i use dashing strike it doesn't take me all the way to the target if they're running around. I'm not sure if it's suppposed to work like that or if i'm just supposed to dash to where they were when i clicked the skill. W/e it is it can be annoying sometimes especially with treasure goblins.
