I just killed belila and i can tell you a couple things. You need more damage i am in act 2 and I am dual wielding and have 20k dps. You do not need 9000 armor that is over kill. At most with a sheild I'd go 7k, i only have 5k, and anything more then 600 resist is waste of stats. stats. Your Hp does not need to be any higher then 40k ever because you heals become nerfed after that. You gotta change your build so you have some cc , heals , aoe and single target dmg. i used conviction aura all throughout act 2 . gotta kill stuff before it kills you. You cant tank everything.

It's true that you can clear Act 2 going high damage with mantra of conviction, but tankiness will serve you better in the long run.

Having more armor, resist, or HP never hurts. It's a misconception that high HP is bad on a monk. What's bad is sacrificing armor/resists for HP because our heals aren't percentage based like barbarians.

OP: You need higher stats across the board. When shopping, prioritize Resist=Armor>Dex=Vit (remember that 1 Resist= 10 Armor). To get the best bang for your buck, try to keep your fully buffed Resist and Armor damage reduction as close as possible.

t should actually be pretty simple to get 70-90 total resist on almost all of your armor (All Res + Res of your choice).

Don't worry if you have to sacrifice Dex or Vit on one piece of armor. At this point, it's okay to just have Dex+Resist or Vit+Resist on a piece of armor instead of the Ideal Dex+Vit+Resist.

Also, being budget minded, don't go breaking the bank on jewelry. Jewelry is by far the most expensive gear you can get for the least benefit. I'm soloing Act III right now and I'm still just running blue Dex+IAS rings.

And, as everyone else pointed out, buying a life on hit weapon can greatly increase your survivability, so if you had to spend a lot of money on something it would be that. Just note that you should stay away from slow weapons like maces or spears.

    Hope this helps.

posted a message on Zero mobility as Monk?
I've never had problem dashing past mobs to get to my target with any of my skills, walls are the only things that seem to block my movement and I can live with that.

I've never had a problem with my monk's mobility and I don't really care what a barb can do.
