It won't get fixed until 2.1. It's going to require animation work, and that takes a lot of time.

Of course, I'd love it if I'm wrong. I doubt I will be.

I've gotten at least one piece of every barb class set from Kadala this week.

Mad Monarch can be a good main-hand to use if you don't have Sankis yet (off-handing devastator), but since Sankis gives both 20% fire and a pretty good survival proc it's always going to be the obvious choice for an EQ off-hand weapon. The only time the DPS on Sankis is going to be relevant is if you use HotA as a fury spender, which almost no one does anymore.

although arreats call triggers strong arms %25 damage taken increase right?
It can, but since I use Haunt of Vaxo I need the stun to summon the shadow clones (as they do quite a lot of damage). In my experience lots of elite packs aren't affected by the pull from wrenching smash or call of arreat and therefore don't get the debuff applied anyway.

I've pretty much settled on using Hexing Pants for groups and HotA-style for solo.

I'm pretty sure it snapshots given my experience with other buffs, most notably harrington's. I was using CotA as well when I tried it out, so there was no reason not to keep running around like an idiot between leap cycles. I didn't even bother using WW with fire rune - just use cooldowns if they're available, leap on CD, and run around like a jackass the rest of the time. It... kind of works? I really don't know if it's ideal or not, to be honest. I'm just using superstition (sometimes), animosity and reaper's wraps (I can't really work a pull into my build so there's no need for strongarm) to power the more conventional HotA-style and I like the way that feels more, but I'm far from making my mind up on it.

I've been curious about this since the patch, to be honest. It's kind of a shame I never kept any of the Fury of Vanished Peak's than I'd found prior so I could play around with it. It's worth keeping an eye on to see how well it works with better gear.

EQ doesnt proc bloodshed, but as mentioned, if you use hota or ss as fury spender with EQ, its still the best rune.
I'm not sure I buy that since you're not going to have as much fury to work around anymore. Even with workarounds like reaper's wraps, superstition and animosity it's easy to run out of fury between leap cycles. EQ is still going to be more than 50% of your damage and against rift guardians the proportion is going to be even more strongly favoring EQ versus other abilities. I use avalanche instead of sprint in my current build as well (since I barely have enough fury to HotA as it is), and since bloodshed doesn't affect avalanche either I'm not sure it's really worth it over marauder's rage.

    Oh I see.

I don't like Reaper's Wrap because it kinda requires mobility (WhirlWind) or a bit of pickup radius, unless you are playin in groups. I would much rather use the bracer slot for strongarm or aughild. Just my opinion though.

I think Hexing pants would work wonders as a workaround, but you will loose the ability to go 4 piece, which means you will HAVE to use RoRG, which means you will have to give up either unity or soj. Plus if you go Hexing pants you will have to strafe spam HotA, which I think its kinda annoying.

If I were to use Hexing pants I would probably just go WW and don't have to worry about fury, yea I loose a bit of dps but EQ+kite itself is still powerful enough to melt elites in T6, just not as fast as before without HotA
The hexing pants build I was using was rather silly and didn't spend fury at all. It's just the silly "take every single long cooldown" build, plus might of the earth and lut socks, basically. Pop cooldowns, spam leap, run around waiting to do it again. It's silly as hell, but it actually works reasonably well. Your greatest nemesis isn't even a monster - it's doors.

As for the blue response - well, quite frankly it's basically best case scenario. Not only is it getting fixed, but it'll be even faster than it was before! The downside, of course, is that it's coming "in a future patch," which could be as far away as 2.1. Seeing as 2.1 is going to have a whole host of other changes and probably some balance changes it's hard to say whether it'll even be relevant anymore.

"Definitely does a lot less damage"

Does it really? have you tested out? You are imply blizzard stealth nerfed EQ which could be huge. Anyone else experienced the same thing?
I meant the build, not the spell. Earthquake itself is obviously unchanged.

Reaper's Wraps + anything that increases max fury is an interesting workaround that allowed me to go back to spamming HotA as much as I wanted, but you do have to give stuff up - some damage from Strongarm and possibly a passive or two to get it online. It's slightly lower damage than pre-patch, but it's not all that bad, actually. I'm not really a fan of this solution in general, but that's more because I don't like how Reaper's Wraps have become a go to item for so many builds across so many classes. Beyond those reservations it does work reasonably well.

Right now I'm just trying out the silly mass-cooldown build Alkaizer has been doing since it's got high mobility and is about as mindlessly easy to play as possible. Hexing pants increase the fury generated from hitting targets with leap by quite a lot, although I'm not actually spending fury on anything but sprint with that build so it's a bit of a moot point.

what? so instead of buffing the male barb, they nerfed the female? really?
Yep. The build feels pretty clunky now between this change and the lack of fury generation from earthquake, and it definitely does a lot less damage. On the positive side the change to the fire rune for seismic slam makes it actually pretty fantastic and a solid way to get the strongarm debuff on targets (assuming it works - haven't tested it carefully, but it seems to). The downside, of course, is that seismic slam is much less efficient than HotA and the net difference in damage may actually be worse especially for dual wielding. Now that earthquake isn't generating fury anymore you can't simply devote all your energy into converting fury into damage between leap cycles, so switching over from HotA to SS is a little counter-intuitive... but might be okay?

I'm reserving judgement on the overall impact until I see what other players come up with and if Blizzard decides to backpedal on this one - not terribly unlikely given that no one even knew the behavior was a bug until it was "fixed" today.

I think I was about a similar age playing D1. Cool kid. She kinda looks like a tiny, nine-year-old barbarian, too.

For all the gore it's not a very dark game. The writing is pretty bland and the story is so predictable and one-dimensional that it may as well have been written by someone at Disney. Now, if she was playing something like Max Payne or Amnesia I'd be a little concerned for her... then again, she might just be a total bad ass and make me look like a fool.

The only real takeaway for me here is that I should probably be less of an asshole in multiplayer games. The kind of vitriol, racism and sarcasm gamers spew in jest is far worse of an influence on young people than any gameplay or graphic violence can ever be.
