It depends entirely on the items. Not just stats either.
You could have a very nice chest piece, that would sell for (random number) 3m on the GAH, but because it's not a ring or an amulet, people might not buy it. A friend of mine sells only weapons and rings/amulets on the RMAH, and they sell pretty often. He's even sold a few rings for 30$ a pop. Armor, however, he just sells on the GAH.
Either way, I'd say if you don't need/want the item yourself, try and sell it. If you make some cash, great, if not, sell it for gold.
It was displaying a 30% increase on your DMG stat, I think because sources were "weapons" but not really. If you looked at the damage you dealt, you were doing MUCH less than that your DMG would suggest.
Supposedly it wasnt a nerf to damage, in that it never was providing as much DPS as it said it was.. but I think that's bullshit and it always was providing more and was fixed.
Nope, I never got more than 15% more damage from FW, but my stats page always told me I was getting WAY more than 15%. Actual hits only showed a 15% increase.
You should aim for the best survival stats you can get (vitality, resist all, etc) but DPS comes first.
Simply put, you're a wizard, you're pretty much going to have to kite no matter what (For now at least, future patches may change that). Defensive stats really just help make up for your mistakes, but other than that, you should prioritize damage, because the faster you can kill, the less kiting you need to do.
And besides, if you run into an "un-kitable" pack of monsters, you're dead no matter how good your defenses are. So may as well get the best damage you can, and hope corpse runs will do.
Edit: Oh, run speed = godly.
You're going to kite, that's a fact. Run speed makes that a lot easier.
High attack speed is also favorable, the faster you cast, the less time you spend standing still, the better you are at kiting.
I wasn't even active on here during the beta and how would you know being registered today?
Because people can't lurk for a while before they make an account.
I wouldn't take it personally anyways, people hate complainers as much as you (apparently) hated D3.
You can even look at my history. I maybe made like one post at best somewhere and it wasn't even about 'hating'.
"(apparently)" Basically meant "I'm not picking anyones side, but this guy thinks your a whiner, so I gotta throw that in."
A bit more on topic again, I personally enjoy the game, but maybe some people expected something different. So it's cool that blizzard is actually allowing refunds.
Not really. The only way it's even remotely useful is if you use the storm chaser rune, and even then, the little bit of free damage you get is completely passed up by almost any other skill.
I'm going to say no, because while the build is fairly strong, it's only strong in certain situations.
DoTs gib you like it was nothing, and champion packs stil destroy you if you're not careful. I'm aso certain only a handful of bosses can actually be "tanked", the rest you need to be super careful with, and chances are you'll end up using VHydra + blizzard and constantly kiting, even with force armor. At that point it's really just there to make sure you're not one shot.
I know almost everyone hates the idea of a melee wizard, but with 12k HP at level 43, it's actually pretty effective in nightmare, at least for now. (Act 3)

Currently using that.
